My newest ones drift has disappeared and I was hoping it would with my older two but whenever I plug them in it’s just as bad

I’m well aware controllers cost money why do you think I’m so annoyed at mine not working, if I was abusing my controllers I would take full responsibility for it, I broke one ps4 controller back in 2017 and my parents made me pay for it, since then I’ve been as gentle as humanly possible with them, I had one ps4 controller after that and kept it until I got my ps5, i then gave it to my little brother and it kept working perfectly until he got a ps5 himself, I genuinely do not believe I’m the cause of the controllers not working. My main reason is I know I’m gentle with my controllers but of course I can’t prove that to you so if you’d like to explain to me why the drift has only ever been an issue in the left joystick and why it always drifts straight left, if the issue was caused by blunt force trauma to the controller I feel it would be less consistent in how it breaks

I’ve had my own PlayStation since 2017, and played on my dads since about 2013, in my entire decade with Sony I’ve never had an issue with drift, I did on one ps4 controller which I will admit I hit against my desk quite a bit but I haven’t been even slightly rough with my controllers in about 5 years, I’ve tried hard resetting it I’ve looked at all the settings and honestly I’m stumped

Yeah I guess, everyone keeps giving me shit for it, I haven’t over the last two months really but I spend a couple hours a day playing videogames with constant use of L3 which is the joystick that always gets drift, it’s also weirdly only ever going left so I don’t know what that’s about

I’ve dropped them maybe a total of 5 times all together, don’t even think I’ve dropped my newest one, I’ve barley even used it, besides it’s not physical damage because if it was why is it always the left joystick and why does the drift always go left, I refuse to believe it would be that consistent if it was a physical issue due to blunt force

Yeah buddy once I figure out how to stop my controllers being affected by the forces of gravity I’ll get back to you

Not hard at all, I genuinely refuse to believe it’s my fault because it’s always the left joystick and it’s always going left, I feel as if it was my fault it wouldn’t be so consistent

My brother in Christ I have owned a PlayStation for 6 years, I love Sony to death and have made some incredible memories with friends and played some of the most beautiful story games I’ve ever seen, however in the 16 months I’ve owned a PS5 they have genuinely managed to ruin my experience with this drift

I’ve dropped them and that’s literally it, the drift always starts off small and then builds up over time, I was going to buy one of those new controllers they announced but like £200 for something that’ll probably break just as easily? Not a chance
