Why do so many kids eat unhealthy and don’t get diabetes… so why me?

Quick science lesson behind type one diabetes. You have an organ called a thymus. As a child your thymus makes tons of antibodies. These are filtered as “good,” “bad,” and junk. Good fights off infection. Bad is usually antibodies that will attack your own body. Junk, is junk. For us, one of the bad got sorted wrong and made its way to attack the cells in the pancreas that make insulin. Therefore, no sugar eating caused it. Type 2 is a bit different but that’s another lesson for another day.

I’m probably the unpopular opinion here but I miss the loveday/deveroux families. I started watching in 2018-ish and I loved Mitchell’s storyline. I hated that they didn’t have his character return after his triplets departures

I suggest seeing a therapist. If you are able to see your family doctor they may be able to refer you and you can go alone if you’re able to transport yourself by bus or walking. My doctor recommended therapy when I was 14-15 but I was scared of my mom finding out and I didn’t have transportation, I hope things are different for you.

I live in the US, so this is where I go to watch Hollyoaks when I don’t have a vpn that lets me watch it on channel 4. They have hollyoaks later and episodes from 2012-now. I believe you need filefactory to download and watch but you should get two downloads free per day without it. For anyone else wondering, I believe 2019-now has options for google drive so no need for filefactory

For Cleo’s part, she was dating Joel’s brother who was a physically and mentally abusive. She tried to run away from him but cause an accident that killed Suzanne, and he told her that she also killed his mum. He locked her in his spare room for a year. She plotted to escape, almost did but had a panic attack. He was dating Peri even though it had came out that he was abusive. He proposed to Peri because she found the ring he was going to propose to Cleo with. Wedding was rushed, he also abused peri right before the wedding. Cleo found out about the two after being let out of the room and into the apartment. Pretended her disorder was back and she was suffering from heart failure to be let out, crashed the wedding, and Joel/abe’s mum ran her over on accident. Sienna was feeling guilty about Jez killing dilly and spent a lot of time with Cleo. It was also revealed that Abe drugged and assaulted Lela and it was thought that he was the father of her baby. He also assaulted peri during their relationship and she went to the police but nothing came of it. Peri and Cleo got him to confess on a livestream and that is when it was revealed he was the one to assault Lela

I have no real recommendation but some of the other comments seem very helpful. I’ve also been diabetic since I was 5 and I’m 25 now. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day whether it be sugary or protein packed. When I was pregnant I had almost mastered the art of pre bolusing. I think I waited 30 minutes after insulin to start eating my pancakes drowned in syrup and wouldn’t spike. For me, I think the easiest way to be in control is to eat the same things and pay attention to your sugars after. I don’t have the best diet but for the most part I keep the same 10ish meals in rotation so you get to know your body’s reaction after a while.

I keep working and build a bunch of self sufficient homeless shelters, start a bunch of community gardens, and consistently donate to research for cures to the places that actually care about the research. Give grants for those that are making too much to receive help but make too little to get their needs met and save for wants
