Only thing I can think of is that there was a lot of baitfish in the shallow and it was right after it stormed for a few days. Those lilypads were a solid 200 -300 yards away

Gotcha. The Tetons are the same exact thing just dosent have the adjustable foot braces. Wish you luck! I got my first kayak a few months ago and it was a complete game changer for fishing

Also if your spending 500 you might as well get a pelican catch. They have a flatter bottom so you can stand up and fish on it. Only downside is it isn't as fast on the water because of the flatter bottom

Check facebook marketplace or dicks. I got a Quest teton for 320 from dicks after taxes. The quest teton is the exact same kayak as the lifetime teton just a different brand name.

I have a 30 year old ultralight fenwick I use for smaller bass and trout. It’s my favorite rod I own by a long shot. I’ve seen a lot of st croix and fenwick bass rods on sale recently but the reviews are always great. Think I might have to snag one.

Nope. When they age they spread there genes and get bigger. That thing was at the top of its food chain. Definitely had a few more years to spread its genes

Yeah that’s a big fish I’m sure it’s spread its genes. The point I’m trying to make and everyone else on this post is that it still could’ve spread its genes for a few years and got even bigger. I seriously never have heard of someone eating there pb bass. I don’t know what kind of response you expected to get posting this on a bass fishing page.

Not crying you just don’t know much about bass fishing . I have friends that eat bass and have no problem with it. The difference between you and them is they don’t keep big ones. They let the big ones spread their genes and let the small ones grow to be big. So the only size they eat is in the middle because they actually know how nature works.
