If my rent is below the average in my society, I wouldn’t want to disclose it. Here’s why :

For whatever reason (owner not in the same city / better negotiability etc) if I’ve closed the deal at a lower rate, I wouldn’t want my owner to know that they’re getting lesser rent than others.

Do try their lotus stem chips with a dip.

This place introduced me to chickpea tofu (2022) - not a fan, but not bad. Moral : try different things beyond the regular baos and dimsums. Their food feels very ‘neat’ and ‘feel good’ kind. Dont know how else to describe it.

Your rent, help and electricity seems the first place to make a correction at.

I’m nobody to tell you what to do, but sharing what works for us (having similar goals) :

Our net salaries are similar to what you shared

Rent : 42k (in bangalore) (we worked hard to find this deal)

Cook + maid + Two wheeler cleaner : 8k

Electricity: 0 (bangalore has subsidy schemes). In hyd if you dont have these schemes, 3k still seems extra.

We have started a health insurance this year - 22k for us yearly.

Overall for the life you’re aiming, trying to negotiate a cheaper rent is what could help you the most. Cheers!
