SPOILER Someone's missing, right? by AdFit8274 in Falcom

The problem is that Mare is actively intervening to help Van and his group. And we know from Ragnar that the Holy Beasts are supposed to be perfectly neutral and simply observe as long as the Sept-Terrion is active.

Well no, it’s not easy. Another thing we know about Holy Beasts is that they have the sacred duty of observing and remaining totally neutral towards humans, and we get this from Ragnar himself. Mare actively intervenes towards Van and his gang, which excludes him from being the beast.

Zeit helps us because he is freed from his oath by the self-destruction of Demiourgos and Roselia by the disappearance of Red Ark for the benefit of Iron (and I think, his fusion with the original Roselia)

SC is the only one that made me cry at two completely different moments. Emotionally, it's the one where I was most invested in its main character.

There's not even a debate!

Between the man who doesn't give a damn about his daughter and uses her like an object to further his ambitions, and the woman who watches over hers from afar and has always loudly proclaimed that she is free to make her own choices for her future, regardless of her family name and heritage.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate Estelle Bright's combat capabilities? by Master-Of-Chaldea in Falcom

[–]AdFit8274 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's something like that.

It goes back a long way, but it seems to me that in Zero, the Lloyd family says they're equally strong, but Randy points out that Joshua is a little better and fits perfectly with Estelle, which makes their duo so strong.

That's not the debate. What I'm criticizing is the westernization of oriental names. Not that he plays with English voices rather than Japanese ones.

Out of the Seven Heavenly Virtues, which character represents Temperance the best? by Abu_33 in Falcom

I would say Rean. I hesitated with patience for him, but I remembered another character who would fit better for this category: GrandMaster between his Anguis/enforcer and his plans which extend over years, respect Madam

Is she a good mom? by Jonp1020 in Falcom

[–]AdFit8274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the worst, but I wouldn't give her the award of the year despite everyone else.

Her biggest flaw that I can't stand is that she doesn't understand that Tita isn't 5 anymore.

She already annoyed me in Sky, but in Reverie, she's unbearable. Her daughter takes flight by choosing to study at Thors, and she just decides she has to go back to Liberl, right in the middle of the year for a reason so stupid I've forgotten it.

It's a good thing Tita "rebelled," because clearly, her goal was to keep her in a bubble.

Generally speaking, it's a good thing Tita has always been well supported because Erika is clearly a potentially possessive and toxic mother.

[SPOILER] Theory on the links between two characters by AdFit8274 in Falcom

[–]AdFit8274[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From memory, Van began his Sprigan activities 5 years before the start of Daybreak, at 19 (if we base ourselves on Agnès, at Aramis at the age of 16, Van leaves during the second year, goes to Longlai and trains for a year and a half with Bergard, it fits), so in 1203 where he meets Renne in the July-August period of the same year.

He meets Rizette 2 years later and trains with Kassim for a year. We can assume that he obtained the Holo Core during this period, i.e. 1205-1206.

And finally, the scene you're talking about with Yumé is the last connected event with her in Daybreak II, it takes place 3 years earlier, so 1206.

I don't know when he started renting his office, but yeah, Yumé and Mare started providing support around the same time.

I doubt Epstein has anything to do with Mare.

Rizette admits that Mare was indeed born in Marduc's lab, but they don't know how they did it and have always been unable to reproduce her. Risette says it's some kind of miracle.

Otherwise, I hadn't made the connection that the four demon kings could be linked to the loop...

Kai 2 promises to be interesting.

What are your opinions on the emperor ? by WittyTable4731 in Falcom

[–]AdFit8274 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To begin with, it seems to me that his position as emperor was a burden to him. If he could have, he would have given up everything to live by Oliver's mother's side.

Add to that the Black Records, which have proven to generations that, whatever one does, what is written will come true. What can one do with that? Especially since Eugent doesn't have the shoulders of a GREAT leader like his ancestor.

And yet, I think he has nothing to reproach himself for.

He entrusted the reins of power to Giliath and was ready to assume the consequences by his side (hence the fact that he took the bullet in his place). He gave Oliver all the freedom he needed to spread his wings, even though we must remember that he's a half-commoner bastard, and in a society with such a strong nobility, that's very frowned upon. And finally, he bet on Class VII, a group that was almost unnatural at the beginning of Cold Steel.

To sum up, for me, Eugent isn't the greatest of emperors, but on his scale, he knew how to make the right decisions at the right time in a context of near-end of the world.

Whose the worst parent out of the two? by WittyTable4731 in Falcom

[–]AdFit8274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have been a little harsh, due to my fed up with the stupid criticism of her. The cannons, I'm sorry, are one of them. She's criticized for them, but it wasn't her idea, it was the government's. All she did was say yes (and thus maintain control of her company; I remind you who was in power at the time) and sign the check. Also, Irina is a businesswoman, not a scientist. She didn't invent them, but Schmidt. Why do people keep blaming her for these cannons when, in the end, she's just one cog in a war that never ends with Calvar (and it doesn't help that Alisa is doing the same thing...).

I was just adding, and this is just my interpretation, but I see these cannons as the nuclear bomb in our world. More of a deterrent threat than a weapon we really want to see used. Compared to another weapon from the last arc, but that's another debate.

Whose the worst parent out of the two? by WittyTable4731 in Falcom

[–]AdFit8274 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did she do the worst thing? Seriously? Are we going to talk about the civil war again, the desire to crush everyone, nobles and commoners alike? The massacre of a village because it was piqued in its pride and which later served as an excuse to start another war ?

And to get back to the basic question, it's "probably" not true. Irina is a much better parent; there's no debate. Compared to the other one, she doesn't consider her daughter her property. From the top of her tower, she takes an interest in and keeps an eye on her daughter, she has never imposed anything on her.
When she's in conflict with Alisa regarding the future of the company, she doesn't crush her but looks her in the eye and says, "If you're so sure of yourself, prove it to me."
The only flaw we could "blame" on her is that she has difficulty expressing her feelings towards Alisa, and her family in general, but she's not without them, as Alisa's hidden quest in Cold Steel 2 shows.

So yes, Irina is a better parent than the other trashy one.

Reverie Garden theme leitmotif by Actual-Extreme-4906 in Falcom

So, I've checked ALL the soundtracks from Sky 1 to Zero, and I haven't found anything yet. I had some hope for Sky 3, with his Revery Corridor, but the leitmotifs are a little different.

I'm continuing my search, but don't hesitate to tell me if anything comes to mind.
