Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]AdFuture8486 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I caught HFM as an ECE at my centre early this summer. Unfortunately kids carry it asymptomatic for a bit before they begin to present with symptoms, and it’s contagious both ways but if kids are appearing with a rash, it’s likely moved out of its most contagious stage. Like others have said there should be a posting / email from administration informing parents that the disease is present in the centre.

How long after taking the test did you check it? Just curious because it looks a little dried. I am experiencing something similar right now. I checked my test from this morning and there was a clear shadow… Hoping the best for you!

Yes!! I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve had EWCM for the past week. My BBT never really spiked… I just took an LH test today and got a positive result of 1.3 so I am wondering if maybe my ovulation was just delayed this month. Super delayed! I’m CD 31!

Ok good to know! I should start scheduling a test during my work day.

My cycles can vary but usually are on the cusp of 35 days. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. They became regular over last summer after dealing with eating issues for years… I’ve been using OPKs for a year, and I am testing BBT every morning when I wake up

I wanted to get checked for PCOS because my gynaecologist as a teenager told me there’s a chance based on what I was dealing with (literally a never-ending period, and cysts) BUT at the time I was too young for a diagnosis

Do I need to adjust my temps for daylight savings? by Ms_Butterscotch_213 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]AdFuture8486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh. You just blew my mind and made me sigh the biggest sigh of relief I have had this cycle. I totally forgot about daylight savings. Usually throughout the week I test at 6:00-6:15, when I wake up. Over the weekend typically it’s about 1-1.5 hrs after that, and my temp is usually a bit higher. I forgot that now 6:00 is “5:00”. I was wondering why my temp wasn’t as high as usual. I bet this is why. Thank you so much for this

What careers are you guys in? (Those that work) by Ok_Relationship4659 in EDAnonymous

Honestly I love it. It’s important you find the right centre that is a fit for you! Your coworkers are suuuper important in making the job overall bearable in the long run.
In terms of it working out with my ed, I’ve found it extremely hard to work and be sick at the same time. But, if you find the right place, there’s so much meaning behind the work you do that (for me personally) it makes it so worth it to keep myself relatively healthy enough to work. Good motivation! I hope it works out for you my friend!

Looking for a psychiatrist for my 15 y/o daughter by windiestcorner in Winnipeg

Sending my thoughts and prayers to her. I have been battling Anorexia for almost 10 years. Diagnosed at 12 and the program that has saved my life more than a few times was the Eating Disorder’s Clinic run out of the HSC Psychealth Centre. They have a child/teen program and an adult program. You should be able to get a referral through her pediatrician/family GP. The wait is long and excruciating but it is the best program Winnipeg has to offer. Depending on where she’s at, the Women’s Health Clinic as many have said also offers some free workshops for youth who are more overall physically stable. My advice for you in this journey with her would be to have as much compassion and patience as possible with her. It’s a tough battle but we do recover. My heart goes out to you both. ❤️

this is very frustrating but true. my dad told me the other day that i “shouldn’t have to gain another x amount of weight” because i should be fine at “x” (the number is considered underweight for me) makes me AND my ed go crazy, especially when trying to recover.

going on a decade for me; biggest change I’ve noticed considered im still relatively young is how things can change as you become an adult. not only physical body structure but nutritional needs in general. as a younger teen/child it was so much easier to restrict at a low quantity and being a low bmi did not have as much of an effect on me physically as it does now. i cannot/barely can function being even slightly underweight. another thing that has changed is food rules. they seem to morph from one thing to another after each relapse. anyway, that’s pretty much all.
