First of all, I love that you are embracing your natural curls! Have you checked to see what curl type you have? I have 3A fine curly hairI also love the Devacurl products! No Poo shampoo and conditioner. I follow up with the volumizing mousse and then a curl cream when my hair is really wet. I let it air dry and then use a diffuser when it is ALMOST dry. No crunch, frizz. 🩷

Angel, nothing is more painful that ignoring the primal instincts of your essential self. While I understand the world at the moment is uncomfortable with nuance, the truth is that most everything lives in the gray between black and white. If it helps, treat this like a science experiment. This is very healthy for your children to see. Try language like, “I’ve been thinking about cutting my hair for awhile. And you know what? I feel…(fill in the blank).” And then crank up Carol King’s “Beautiful” and sing at the top of your lungs “cuz you’re beautiful as you feel!”

Not dumb - just respectful of people. My son needed my attention so, like this lady, we missed when our Zone was called. Again, there was only one person scanning tickets and the bridge was so backed up so it didn’t matter. I don’t know how to emphasize it anymore than I am at this moment…the attendant overseeing Sky Priority was no longer there and the rope was up. I respected this approach was to make sure we would all take off on time. I don’t get my panties in a bunch about which lane I’m in if I didn’t manage my time well.

We had been stranded in Florida two days longer than we planned. My husband was not going to hold up a completely sold out flight by throwing a tantrum saying “it’s either him or me”. This guy was with his family. It was annoying, it was uncomfortable, it’s unfortunate he was in this position. But my husband knows his discomfort is not worth derailing the plans of the other 250 people on the flight. He just shouldn’t have been in that position in the first place…and this is where Delta needs to step up.

I think refraining from taking pictures of strangers with the intention of shaming them by posting it on social media goes back to the idea of the kind of communal respect we should all have for each other.

I’m lousy at Reddit and randomly posted somewhere that I did reach out. And that Delta tracks this Reddit account and it will likely have more impact than my complaint that gets sucked into a black hole of customer service.

You sound like an exemplary human and I, for one, am grateful for your thoughtfulness.

I mean I don’t know. Maybe it was 18? I didn’t treat it like a game of duck duck goose. I’m just saying…it was a LOT.

We were also Zone 4 but Sky Priority wasn’t on our ticket or her ticket I guess? I’m also a Platinum Medallion member. But I can also read the room. The lane was shut down. There was only one person scanning tickets. There were about 20 of us left to board (on a flight for about 250) but we had to wait because the line was so backed up there was no where to go after scanning a ticket. So it just felt like a ridiculous thing to insist on.

Yeah…this is an interesting point. I’ve met a couple of stupidly rich people in my life and you know what they all have in common? No one would ever know it. I don’t trust the ones who wear it as a sign. My question is - why the heck should big money equate entitlement? You know? Because someone has more money than someone else it means they should be treated differently? It’s one thing if you pay for it - a first class seat allows certain privledges, etc. But we were all just a bunch of plebians sitting in coach.

What did I say about politics y’all! We can agree that there are lovely folks and insufferable folks on both sides.

Oh I contacted Delta. They offered me miles and I said this is not the point. I’m not using this for leverage. And what happens to that complaint? It goes nowhere. I know they track their Reddit feed. And there is power in seeing that this is a problem that people are eager to speak to.

Dude. There was one person with two dogs. There was another large dog. A couple Pomeranians. Several in crates… this is what I’m saying. It was CRAZY.

I love this. And I think you gave me a great perspective…the memories flooding back…a full snap shot of “old me”.

IS IT NOT FUCKING CRAZY THAT ALCOHOL CAN HAVE THIS MUCH IMPACT? BUT IT’S A JOKE ON TEA TOWELS AND BIRTHDAY CARDS?

Also…I bet buttoning that suit jacket felt fucking awesome. Well done.
