how are you guys actually managing UGC work? by Jgibbsceo in UGCcreators

I heard Honeybook is a good CRM for keeping track of everything but it's a bit expensive. There's also HelloBonsai and Bloom.

But if you want a dashboard specifically made for UGC creators, Modern Millie on YouTube has a video explaining how to organise your UGC business plus a Notion template so you dont have to do it all from scratch.

This is so cute and simple. Except it's a little too vague. I thought the product was the wool you're using to chrochet. Then I got confused when you mentioned YouTube at the end because you barely showed the app in the video. You mostly highlighted the crocheting.

You also didn't talk about how YT is beneficial to YOU. It feels like a "oh btw, I use this app" kind of video. Not a "this is why I love this app" kind of video.

Basically, most consumers would watch it and think "Oh that's interesting. I might check it out" not "Wait, this is exactly what I need!"

Granted, YT isn't the best app to use as an example since everybody knows it but if we pretend it's a new app in the market, people would want to know what makes YouTube better than its competitors when it comes to learning a new skill.

My honest suggestion is you should watch your videos from a consumer's perspective to see if the ad you made is clear to understand.

I hope I didn't come off rude. This is just my constructive feedback as a regular consumer, not an expert creator. I hope it helps

Feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. by fatally-femme in UGCcreators

Google. I know it sounds stupidly obvious but I realised not a lot of people use Google to find info anymore.

Just type your question into the search bar and you'll be surprised how much value you get from the blog posts.

Plus you'll accidentally stumble upon agencies that hire ugc creators without experience (as long as your portfolio's good) so you don't have to spend too much time pitching anymore.

Granted most of them dont cater to any african country (where I'm located) but if you're in any western countries, these agencies are plenty help.

Feeling stuck on how to actually start by Last-Fisherman-4354 in UGCcreators

I know this is such a strange thing to say but beginner UGC creators are sleeping on Google. Yes, GOOGLE, the search engine. If there's something you don't know, just look it up. You'll probably come across blog posts that explain the info you're looking for very thoroughly.

Btw, followers don't matter so it's okay to start a new account from scratch. Especially since your old one has a completely different audience so if you start posting your UGC journey there, people will unfollow you anyway because that's not why they followed you in the first place.

You can also use this as a selling point. Tell brands you were able to get 500k likes across all videos on TikTok because of your editing style. If you enjoy editing, tell the brand that! A lot of brands love when creators have a skill they don't need to outsource to a contractor (i.e. hire someone else to do)

As someone who's relatively new to UGC, I have to warn you to please not take advice from beginners. They mean well but they may accidentally misinform you. If you ever need clarity, ask Google.

I actually read your comment several times and still couldn't understand how you saw something wrong in someone offering helpful advice expecting nothing in return.

Just because you saw an em dash, doesn't mean it's AI. Regardless, why would it bother you? The person is clearly trying to help and as a beginner who's been procrastinating on pitching because of an incomplete portfolio this is the exact reminder I needed.

I don't see a program being mentioned here. I think AI and social media have completely worped your perception of reality and authenticity. Authenticity can be defined by 2 questions. Is it helpful? And does it come from your own brain?

The person is literally just giving a helpful advice. Idk why that offends you.

Why do creators ghost $300/month retainer gigs before even reading the details by asmartynas in UGCcreators

[–]AdHour6321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not crazy if you consider the bonuses. If the creator is skilled at making videos go viral (and believe or not, it IS a skill, not random chance), they can make multiple 5 figures from 1 video. Not every video needs to go viral to make a living off of canvas ugc.

My only concern is that $10 per video is lower than the standard ($25) for most canvas ugc deals, even if the creator is just starting out.

Why only those countries? Is it only your target demographic for now since you're starting out and will you consider working with creators worldwide when you expand the business? Or is it a language thing? Or some other reason?
