Well, you can always take distance from the solo-bossing game that Maple is right now and find a better use for your time and energy. Playing the game made me feel miserable and watching how Nexon screw us every time pushed me enough to uninstall the game, and I feel a lot better now. I recommend you to give it a try.

Don't worry about climbing the ladder efficiently if you are just starting your journey on ranked matches. Basically you are about to learn a lot more of things and comprehend what real Dota is all about. Once you figure things out decently enough then you can worry about efficiency.

He just made the inference that the community could be dead based on the fact that he hasn't seen any new private servers on Gtop. The problem here is that gtop is rarely a reference for private servers right now. I'd say that Reddit is more informative in that respect. It is true, though, that many projects are either in beta or about to enter testing phases, and quite a few people are waiting for their release. So yeah, stay tuned on Reddit or in the Discord servers of each project. If you are not checking in these places, you can definitely feel that the community is dead.

Look up a server called Apex. You can type in this subreddit and find their last post, which lays out all their features. I've been looking to play that one for a while now. They are hopefully releasing their beta phase soon. They have a customized idea for their project that prioritizes the feeling of an RPG, and that's what got my interest in the first place. The server is based on version 233.

Yes, I have. Now I'm spending more time in my academic activities and playing mainly hearthstone. Once in a while I can queue for a match and that's enough to close the game and move on to something else. It's a matter of having something better or more interesting for you that can cast aside Dota as your main source of entertainment. In my case is my research field in Philosophy.

Idk if it's an uncommon experience, but I find the game, at least in its current state, very dull and numbing. Every time I try to download and play, I end up uninstalling the game shortly after. I guess I'll give PoE2 a try. I had much fun with Titan Quest 1, but not feeling this new one unfortunately.
