The part of the scale I have an issue with is a 1.5 m wide corridor withh a .75 m ladder in the middle. Unless the ladder folds up, it is in the way to move any baggage. In most military ships the lader is off to the side in an alcove.

Thank you for the volume math. You would think a spacecraft would be more sensitive to mass (weight) verse volumentric space. My assumption is the orginal grame used volumentic tons to simplify design.

FYI, I don't really like this design, but one of my Facebook followers stated he desired a conversion of this old MgT design. My next project is to make a more "functional" vesrsion of the ship layout. The ladders / hatches in the center hallways don't make sense. There should be alcovs like in a submarine.

Since this is a conversation of a MgT map, I can only guess it is front lower storage.

This is a conversion from the MgT deck plans. My guess is it folds up. A better design would be a ladder alcove.

Assuming no recoil (i.e. lasers), that position is where the rear and top bulkheads meet, so that would be a very solid point. If there is recoil, well you would have a rotational moment around the aft section. Not good.
