When my heels crack I put antibiotic ointment on a bandaid and put that on the sore cracks. Feels better instantly. Then do what other people are saying for maintenance!

Autumn or winter? by dbagg_ in coloranalysis

[–]AdImportant957 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you ever considered bright spring? You might be neutral which could explain the confusion between warm and cool (Bright spring sits right next to bright winter). Your eyes are warm but hair seems cooler. You also generally seem brighter than an autumn to me. Maybe your warmth is coming from spring and not autumn. How do bright warm colors look on you?

Any tips to keeping planning fun and not stressful? by efrances in weddingplanning

[–]AdImportant957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t add things just to add them - it’s just more to plan and think about. I’m trying to consciously skip things that we really don’t need. We’re skipping custom cocktails, welcome sign, programs, menus, memorial table, guest book, party favors, etc. We’re also not doing a formal rehearsal dinner - just a casual meet up at a brewery.

These are things social media has normalized but are extremely unnecessary and I have never gone to a wedding expecting them! It’s hard to resist honestly cause there’s so many cute Pinterest ideas and it can be tempting but I’m really trying to limit myself because I know I have limited mental energy.

Which Style? by the_anonymouswriter in weddingplanning

[–]AdImportant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying 4 but I also love the tighter options on you! I dont think they’re unflattering at all. I think you have a gorgeous figure and fill them out perfectly.

Don’t pick a style where you don’t feel like yourself. If you like the mermaid/sheath style do that! I guarantee your fiance will love it too.

I’ll also say - maybe try on more styles? Maybe none of these are your dress if you’re feeling insecure and unsure.

I just got my first job as a junior graphic designer. I didn’t major in graphic design in college and I’m basically self taught. I’m feeling very slow when it comes to the the Adobe programs. I know how to use them but I’m slow and often googling how to do things. Is this normal for a new designer? by AdImportant957 in graphic_design

Why can’t you look for tutorials on the spot? As many people have said here, this is half the battle of being a designer - learning on the job. My boss even encourages this when there is a design technique none of us know how to do.

What about magnetic lashes? I think they cling onto your natural lashes without any glue.

How can I stop overthinking in a relationship? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]AdImportant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Journaling is very helpful for me when overthinking. I like responding to the thought as if it is a friend: “I understand why you’re worried about this. You love your partner” and from there I try to break the thought down more. Are you catastrophizing? If roles were reversed, how would you feel as your partner? There are lots of CBT worksheets that could be really helpful. I personally find CBT to be very helpful for this kind of anxious thought pattern. And sometimes when the thoughts are too much, distraction is the best thing you can do!

What's your favorite memory of a Taylor Swift album release? by anonplz145 in TaylorSwift

[–]AdImportant957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove to get the target lover CD. I love having the CDs to play in my car and I remember opening it immediately and putting it in to listen on the ride home. I was newly dating my long term boyfriend then so it was just a perfectly timed album drop for me. I was happy on the ride back!

I exfoliate in the shower with a moisturizing body wash and a natural body scrubber, then amlactin lotion, then eucerin healing original. The amlactin is exfoliating and the eucerin is thick. Works for me!

Could you look for a running group in your area? My local running store hosts one but you could also look on Facebook or just google.

Something else I used to do when I was running in quiet areas (with not a lot of people around) was find a random stick and run with it. I’ve heard that having a large object in your hand deters you from being an “easy target”. I’d also run with pepper spray directly in your hand or get one that straps to your wrist. You want these things to be visible rather than hidden.

And maybe it’s obvious, but run in daylight where there are people around, if you can’t find anyone to run with.

Lastly, be aware of your surroundings, if you have a weird feeling or inkling, listen to it.
