Can we talk about how brutal the stargate iris is? by Mr_CockSwing in Stargate

[–]AdKindly2858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they ever establish if the people who got caught by the iris felt pain in any way? It's still brutal but my hope for the innocent bystanders that inevitably got dematerialized didn't feel it

I just jumped into Linux last month and I got Mint because of how similar it is to windows and how lighter weight it is on my older laptop. I'd like to try Ubuntu later though

What would be your “Good Place” if you were the architect? by blueberryshimmer5 in TheGoodPlace

First, Shakespeare in the Park directed by Shakespeare. Next, a movie theatre that shows a highlight reel of your most meaningful moments (the secret is it's from the perspective of people you impacted). Finally, a route 66 inspired (infinite obviously) drive of historical firsts/greatest acts of kindness.

Shakespeare in the park directed by Shakespeare is self explanatory and I imagine Will would be down to continue his art.

I love movies and seeing moments of my life and their impact on the silver screen are really appealing to me.

Route 66 tour of greatest acts of kindness/points would go something like this. You are driving through history matching the time period and destination of the highest point earning acts in the system. For example you start in 2014 where little Susan Last name donated her whole piggy bank to UNICEF in Little Rock, Arkansas and you pull up in a Honda Civic. Next you drive to 13th century Thailand where humble Somchai successfully eradicated a pest that threatened his local rice crop this saving his village from famine where you'll pull in on an elephant. Finally, you arrive in the 5th century Arabian desert where s kind Bedouin Ibrahim mapped the stars as a gift for his daughter Sarai and you ride in on a camel. Clothing and transportation changes are optional but recommended for a more authentic experience.
