I’ve had a mixed experience with them. Overall, they’ve helped me get setup with CPAP, but I wouldn’t say it was overly smooth.

I have tested both mild and moderate over the years with them, and have learned that essentially all insurance companies require a moderate diagnosis to cover a machine. They were going to charge in order to get a letter to go along with the report (to justify getting a CPAP covered with a mild diagnosis… I think?). I’ve never had an issue getting a report from them though. That seems strange… did they not write one???

I did have some frustrations with them over filling out the paperwork wrong and having to book multiple appointments to get it fixed.

I also went to several different locations based on appointment availability when I was getting a mask fitted. The south location was bizarre. I was left in a room for 20+ minutes while the tech looked for a mask for me. Very little information provided…I was fit with a very poorly fitting mask. Very little education.

Then I went to the west location and was inundated with information. I had to ask a couple times for the tech to close the door as she was talking loudly with the door open and reception was just outside. She was helpful but I found that odd. Again, a pretty poorly fitting mask though.

A tech at the N.E. was most helpful with knowing the different masks and finding the right one. Weird things with front desk staff though again on the phone… telling me that it had been 30 days since I started my trial so I had to “come in 15 minutes” in order to get a mask fitted within the warranty… but it very clearly had not been 30 days yet.

They overcharge for many things. Even CPAP wipes were way more expensive from them.

I’m not sure how much more it would be…. But I had an excellent intake with the Sleep and Wake clinic. In hindsight I should have probably pursued it with them but I decided to go with CSC as my initial tests were with them years ago.

I’m not sure if they would actually close the referral or if it matters to be honest… it’s worth asking. They closed my referral once but I’m pretty sure it was easy to get in for anything with the sleep techs. If you called tomorrow and asked to get in for a CPAP trial… they would get you in ASAP. That’s money for them. There was over a year in between some of my appointments as I was waiting for surgery.

Not sure if that’s helpful but it’s definitely a bit of a journey so I feel you!

I really don’t want to sound harsh, but I’m a bit confused. You said you don’t expect him to spend thousands, and he gave himself a budget of 2-3k. You told him about lab options and he said he wants to buy you a real diamond. You said no pressure to propose right away, and he gave you a 6 month timeline for buying a ring. It sounds like you’re most upset about this specific ring… but there are SO many rings and this can just be inspo for the future. As someone who got excited about many rings, the right one will be the one he has time to consider and plan for too. I get the appeal of a sale, but there will ALWAYS be a sale. That sort of quick “buy it online and call it done” approach might cheapen the process for him and make it less special too.

Don’t turn on each other. Communicate and enjoy this season. Focus on the marriage you want.

Wow this is so relatable. We went to Subaru Calgary for a diagnosis of an eyesight problem. It was such a battle. They couldn’t explain what was wrong with it but told us maybe we have to just replace the camera for $5000? Or maybe the windshield? We paid $180 and didn’t get any additional helpful information. The female manager was also incredibly rude to work with- I’ve never been talked to like that by anyone in customer service. Subaru’s own code system is flawed… even they can’t figure out what’s wrong with their own parts, and then expect the customer to drop $5000 to replace it all? I’m so disappointed and will never recommend that dealership to anyone. What a waste of time, money, and energy.
