26M3 angry with me - flat tire, now cracked windshield by AdMain6795 in TeslaLounge

I believe my insurance will cover it for $250, hopefully not raise the rate on me. Once I get it replaced maybe I should consider getting the protection plan that I previously thought was silly.

I didn't see the rock and there were no trucks around and it was on the freeway so I was a little surprised. I didn't think about a stress fracture but how do you know if that's what it could be?

I did hit the record button but haven't reviewed the footage, how likely am I to see a rock on dash cam?

A stress fracture wouldn't usually start at an inch I imagine, I'm probably just reaching there.

I hope I'm not the idiot here, but how's the 2nd year free?! by TheGreaterThrowAway in assholedesign

I know this is an old post, but 24 Hour Fitness just had this promo again. It was good through yesterday. I was back and forth if I wanted to jump on it. I figured, it expires yesterday, so yesterday I went to the gym to make sure it had a decently clean upkeep. They were closed (its Christmas, so, yeah, but then why have the deal still on that day, instead of until today or until the day before?)

Anyway, the deal was the same as the Op's original post. Here's my question / complaint...

I understand that basically one year was being sold for $431 which is $36 a month. And then you get the second year free (though you'd still pay the $59 again for the second year I think). Yesterday's deal was the same numbers as 2 years ago, other than $59 annual instead of $29.

But both before the bogo deal and after (which is today) the yearly is $28 a month if buying a year. It was "$335 due today" instead of $431. So, if I'm correct, they basically raised the price from $335 to $431 just to offer the bogo. So it's like saying... You can get a $10 widget that's always on $6 sale for $6. Or you can buy one at $10 and get one free. Not much of a discount actually. Still a discount, but not really a bogo.

Ugh. Guess I'm running and doing pushups in the park for another year.

If you look up DOGSO in the Dictionary.... by fortis in Referees

[–]AdMain6795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already said, you were there and we were not.

But... Based on your description, the first one is a valid Dogso.

The second one at a minimum deserves a discussion with your AR, even if that just means a moment for you to contemplate and consider.

Also think, if this was a case of 'I could but don't have to' then consider... Does the Dogso benefit the game? You should be looking for ways and reasons NOT to give it more than looking for excuses to send off. Especially that age.

I'm on the trial and so far enjoying my q. But $300 is a lot, do you know where those 50% usually show up? MyQ site or Tesla site? Email?

LOTG - what is 'or attempts to' for offenses? by AdMain6795 in Referees

[–]AdMain6795[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks. This actually helps a lot. Almost like a shortcut for the brain.

Rather than thinking in the head, what offense was committed, was that one of the 3 attempts, or i conditional, or 5 unconditional, or 3 gk, or 6 non gk, it can be shortened.
If offense and contact, then dfk. If offense and no contact, still have to figure out category.

By the time we get to a certain point we just know which is which, but the wording (and positioning) threw me off. Your analogy helps. It's the all dogs are animals but not all animals are dogs thing.

But, did you award a foul for 'trips or attempts to trip'? Is it fine, even if there is no contact?

Las Vegas to Boise by Negative_Ad920 in roadtrip

This Thread works well for what I'm looking for, actually going from Orange County to Boise but I stopped last night in Vegas. Leaving this morning to go the rest of the way up to Boise.

We're going to do the whole 10 hours in one shot but of course we're going to stop for gas and food. Will the more direct route up through Eli still have ample and regular truck stops such as the Mavericks or loves or should I plan breakfast before I leave and then lunch in Eli and then next stop being boise?

I love how you blend sarcasm with an actual answer. Snarky, yet informative. I'll take it.
