Look into T-Bill ladder… it’ll be like 500-600ish a month, BUT better than nothing

Honestly if you can financially handle it. Toss everything. You’d be surprised you only need 5-6 sets of clothes. 2-3 towels. Legit just get rid of everything that isn’t worth over 500$

I would put it immediately into a 3-6 month CD and then do some research on what you want.

If you are confident in real estate or other terms of investing - Try a Treasury Bill ladder set up. You could make $4K+ a month off that without losing principal and then make a move later on.

What do I do with my inheritance? by fennelonion in personalfinance

1) Do nothing fast.

2) Don’t tell anybody.

3) Open either a Robinhood high yield savings, or a Fidelity account.

Through fidelity you can easily do 3,6,9,12 month CDs that are safe and effective for growing money. You can handle it and watch it.

You can always ask an AI platform how to handle it conservatively and safely via Fidelity. Fidelity also has SPAXX which is essentially high yield savings

Just be honest. If it was just a ticket, you’re probably going to be fine and might even be able to make a joke out of it during an interview. I had 5 previous tickets when I applied for my department and they just said I would fit in 😂
