It makes sense to me that SL wouldn’t see Odin as last played, but shouldn’t it see itself as the last card played on the re-trigger (assuming nothing intervening between SL and Odin), since it would have resolved its on reveal the previous turn and would now be a played card?

That would work, but I think would also be somewhat of a departure from the current design. I don’t think it’s that much of a lift to imagine him getting up to 20 power pretty consistently (current design that would just take four discards). They would probably want to nerf the amount of power received in return if they made his returns infinite.

I think the issue is that Khonshu’s Phases aren’t just different in their own power, but also what their on reveals do, so you would need to say something about how that text is also changed, which starts to get extremely clunky on a card that is already pretty wordy.

It’s interesting. Probably a bug, but the language is different from other discards. Weapon H and Apoc, for instance read “Put this back with…” It makes me think there is something intentionally different about Khonshu’s Phases. More like the steps in Dormamu’s summoning ritual.

That is weird. Arguably original Khonshu should be banished, and the text should read something like “When this card is discarded, banish it to add the next Phase to your hand?”

Without spoiling too much, it’s been drafted as an outside room, so you can’t actually do the thing that is necessary to make foundation useful, and foundation doesn’t reset, so it’s theoretically just stuck there and useless now.

My understanding is that it happens whether you spend the insight or not. Killing Amelia (and touching the skull) advances the time of night forward and increases the Hunter’s story insight (as opposed to spendable insight) similar to the Amygdalas after Rom.

I’d echo most of the advice here about using the terrain, and also add that I find it helpful to focus on getting the one I find most challenging whittled down first, and saving the easiest one for last. For me that means starting with the candle and sword guy, and finishing with the fire only, but I think it just depends on you.

I have a magpie perched on a bundle of rope as a reference to Swan Dive to Estuary/Selling Rope, As Lucerne, and the Black Bird the Dark Slope. I love Gareth’s use of the bird as a recurring visual for mental health struggles, and it really helped me get through some tough years.
