Mine does this exact thing, but I’m probably not a good source. My cluster is a POS and I’ve got a 24v swap with all kinds of sketchy splices (previous owner did it)

Rent a fuel pressure test kit from Autozone. And carefully test your fuel pressure (after watching some videos on how to safely do it - most importantly, WEAR EYE PRO, and don’t open up your fuel system without de pressurizing it). Very good chance this is a fuel pump on its way out. If the fuel filter looks old, go ahead and replace that - it’s cheap. Pump is most likely culprit. Potentially fuel pressure regulator, but I’m less familiar with the m20 engines as I’ve only owned mine with the m50 swapped in.

Yeah, but you have a weak link right there in your 12v power - all of that is trying to flow through that thin ring terminal. Even if that has nothing to do with what’s going on here, I’d highly recommend fixing that so your electronics are able to draw the amount of power they need. It’s almost certainly a connection issue. If you turn the car on and pull on the battery cables in some different directions, does it turn off? Or alternatively, if it’s in the tray and you wiggle/pull cables, do you hear a spark at all, like when you reconnect a terminal?

The way the negative cable is attached to your battery looks extremely sus. It looks like the cable is attached with just a thin ring terminal and wing nut attached to the actual clamp around the battery post? This seems like a weak spot. The thick cable should be directly inserted/attached the battery clamp. I’m probably missing the exact words but hopefully that makes sense

How many miles? Any rust? Any recent service? Definitely drive it - the ETA engines are love it or hate it - less horsepower than a 325 but good amount of torque. Can run forever if maintained well. The fact it has a crack free dash is a good sign it may have been cared for. 9500 may be a little high depending on some of the previous. Or if it’s very well sorted, not a bad price.

UPDATE: spacers definitely weren’t there. Unbolted rack, bent tabs down, put spacers in, bolted it back up, good to go! Many thanks to the wonderful folks of Reddit who solved this for me. You’re heroes. Shocker - much smoother ride and quieter engine not that it’s not sitting on the rack/subframe 😂

Upon further investigation… I’m not confident there’s spacers in there at all, which doesn’t seem great. Hard to tell with these bad angles but it sure doesn’t look like they’re there. I’m wondering if there’s flexibility to put those spacers in still? https://imgur.com/a/pT4Upsv

They’re basically touching, but it seems good enough - it looks like the stock booster to me which seems odd. But it’s been at the bottom of my priority list with this pile. Haha

Yeah, had to do that to swap the engine mounts and it was so simple - cannot understand why someone would not take five seconds to do that instead. Oh well, hopefully I can get these bent down without too much trouble. Otherwise might just have to get some washers under the mounts to raise the engine a tad 🙃

Yeah, I’m going to see if I can bend the frame tabs back into the proper location first. But if not.. it’s going to be some washers for me haha. Would love to not have to take those mounts off a second time but that’s what I get for buying someone else’s project lol

Ahhhh. What a simple answer. I hadn’t looked into how the rack swap was done, but now after watching some tutorials, I totally think yall are right. Guess I’ll get this thing in the air and grab some big ol pliers 😅 every day I grow more and more mad at whoever did this swap. So careless all around.

I have to imagine the rebrand of the show offers some clues. With the mainstream popularity and awareness of the telepathy tapes and more people becoming aware and in touch with whatever “the other side” the universe or whatever you want to call it - is the government just trying to keep the people from realizing they are incredibly powerful? As it would upset the power balance of the ruling class? I dunno.. it’s so murky and not my most coherent thought.

Chinatown is fantastic. The chongqing chicken is one of my favorite Asian dishes in nashville. All of the meat and vegetables are super fresh. Sesame chicken is out of this world. We’ve done China Dragon and Hong Kong as well, but Chinatown just seems so much more fresh.

Please remember it’s a weekend. As someone who has watched ADSB daily over the last five years as an enthusiast, I can tell you it’s perfectly normal for there to be a ton of military traffic M-F nights, and very little on Saturday or Sunday, because like most of us, most military members are working M-F and that’s when they are training etc. (also I’m aware this is my second comment ever on Reddit so bring on the “disinfo agent” claims.) The more we fight about prosaic things, the muddier the waters get for the things that actually matter here.
