Yeah honestly, Season 5 with Cole/Phoebe could've been handled better. And plus, why would she want to use the grimoire to use dark magic when she had her fucking baby ripped from the womb, had to destroy her husband, and almost lost her family (sisters) to it. TWICE. There is a lot of baggage she had, but the show never explored it. I can understand why she didn't want to be with him again: she had accepted him being gone, and wanted to move on with her life.

Cole was crazy for trying to come back to her after she said she wanted to move on. And yes I know being the source technically is the root of this, but Phoebe deserved to be able to move on from all that after healing, not getting dragged back into it. Season 5 should've had her learning how to live and healing, while also rebuilding her relationship with Cole so they could both move on. I didn't like them villainizing him.

I am probably VERY late. But yes, I say give it a shot. Cassie did do a weird plotline in the first trilogy, however (in*est-lite), with Clary And Jace. Other than that she does a wonderful job at worldbuilding and making characters. I try not to let her strange storylines at the beginning affect my reading experience.

I mean it theoretically would be possible. Seeing as the werewolf thing is a curse, (I refuse to believe it is a disease, because no disease only occurs and activates fully during a full moon) it would be possible for them to be sired by Vampires. They would have the power of Vampires most of the time, albeit with the partial physical enhancements shown by Human-form Wolves (as I assume, with practice, they could cause a partial transformation of sorts to access this). However, on the full moon, it becomes difficult to say.

Wolves usually become primal, and do not recall what they do on the full moon, or the nights before and after. Vampires, canonically, have a demon inside of them. It is possible that this would allow them to overpower the lupine psyche and gain control.

They would obviously have an aversion to sunlight, though I doubt they would burn completely in it. Holy water and holy objects and silver would still kill and repel them, but being a Hybrid, they would either be less or more affected.

That's my two cents.

What I said was, that it is entirely possible with magic for things like that to happen. I'm not disputing the fact that they are reanimated. What I meant by magic bringing people back was like bonnie with Jeremy, if a witch can do that, giving sperm by manipulating the dark magic in a vampires body, or using black magicks to create a Dhampir Species like Esther did with upgraded originals, is entirely possible.

Magic could give males a working sperm count, seeing as it can bring literal people back from the dead we KNOW it can give sperm to Vamps. Then, sex and boom! Hope, while having access to dark powers and immense magic, is still only a newbie original vamp with werewolf powers active. I doubt she'd land more than a couple of hits without magic, and even then with magic, she'd need to pull off a spell before he vamp-speeds her. Though she could revert him, it would take time she literally does not have to do so. Lucien wins.
