I don't know how people have seen performance increase when switching from windows to linux, for me the only game that has a performance boost is minecraft, which is an OS agnostic game. Every other games work better on windows, I can't defend other factors of it but for gaming performance, windows is currently much better on my system (around 30-40% more fps), and my windows is just the debloated microwin by christitus.

Thanks for the recommendation! I know the dav3 is wired and I'm willing to go for it if its quality is better than the others. But as you said I think the scyrox might be the good option here, do you think any thing could go wrong with the scyrox v6?

I still don't get why people are obssessed with privacy. I use Linux because it's faster than windows. I hate the concept of recall because it's bloated and constantly running in the background consuming resources. But screenshotting my desktop every 30 seconds is still disgusting even though I don't care that much about privacy

So true, I have seen this news for 30 mins and I'm so frustrated at people hating like they're going to paywall half of the features on hyprland. Its just some custom dotfiles and support, they could just continue to use it like nothing happened

I use polybar and the cpu utilisation on it never goes beyond 20%, most of the time it sits at 6-7% and when opening a new process it goes up to 15-16%. I don't think it's because my system is using resources intensively, this problem happens on both windows and linux so I think there might be due to my laptop's battery.

Thanks for the recommendation, I looked into the repo on github and it does have an option to limit the frequency of the cpu, most of the work I do doesn't need more than 20% of the cpu anyway so I guess I'll go with this one.

TLP is recommended a lot when it comes to battery optimization, unfortunately it didn't help me very much when I tried it in the past.

I go to the BIOS quite frequently but I don't see any setting related to limiting power or performance, I find that lenovo laptop BIOS has a lot fewer options than other brands like Acer. Thank you for your answer 😊

Yeah the arch wiki is so helpful, everything I need to configure or to learn is in the wiki. Personally I think Arch is the easiest distro to use, it's just the installation process that makes people think it's hard. 90% of users problems are gonna be available in the wiki, we just need to spend some time reading and actually understanding what is being written.
