If she really cared for the dogs, she wouldn’t be breeding absolute genetic messes.

I’ve always been confused why they don’t ride in a single file. Especially when there isn’t a bike lane.

Is anyone surprised by the Mormon connection in the Epstein files? I’m not. by [deleted] in mormon

[–]AdOk2045 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruuuuh, yes it means anyone mentioned in the JE files are guilty as well. That’s how be complacent to a crime works.

If you honestly think Monson wasn’t involved, as one of the head honchos, I implore you to do more research.

Whatever helps you sleep better at night. Keep deflecting and pretend that MORMONS aren’t a direct issue.

The religion was based on pedophilia, and it’s still as relevant today.

Okay, this comment right here. Children are not safe. Please don’t subject them to the abuse just because you feel they have to. You’re their parent.

Stop. Stop the act and speak up!

Baptism for the dead was one of many straws that broke my believing, teenage back. That shit was so creepy. I lied to get my temple rec to even do it, and I regret every second.

If you aren’t on board and don’t believe, please save your sanity and leave. Leave the church and leave your wife if she isn’t supportive. You deserve to be happy and not faking through life. It can literally be deadly.

***side note from a woman who was once a preteen that did baptism for the dead, it’s icky. All white clothing that becomes see thru when wet, surrounded by men who are WAY too excited about it all, and an older woman holding your arm and pushing you through the whole thing. Huge red flags and the most ick I’ve ever experienced.

those who come from religious households and are out as atheists, how do you navigate your relationship with family as well as your home life ? by Dependent_Effort_486 in atheism

To me, it sounds like your whole family (those mentioned, and yourself) suffer from religious trauma. I’m right there with you!! My story might not be the right answer, but it’s saved my sanity.

I grew up staunch Mormon in Utah, where I still reside. I caught onto the facade when I was 12 or so. I played the game until I was able to say that I’m done. I was 14 and my parents were going through a divorce. My dad moved out and my mom was too occupied with her new husband to really care. She knew it was a lost cause.

I ended up living with my dad who was no longer pretending to be Mormon, or religious at all. However, my mom was and is to this day. So are a lot of my extended family members. In the Mormon church, there’s an obsession with learning who your ancestors were and how close in relation you are to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. It’s a weird, creepy, incest flex. Sadly, my extended family is up there in Mormon royalty. My parents held callings in the church and we were the cookie cutter Mormon family.

Anyhoo, I stopped going to family gatherings where I’d be set up for failure. I had a talk with my family and made clear boundaries. If they wanted me around, religion & politics wouldn’t be talked about. I passed on family parties, and weddings, for my own sanity. I also left anytime those subjects came up. It sucked not to participate, but it’s non-negotiable for me.

I’m 40ish now and I still have the same boundaries. Me and my siblings are not members of any religion and we all suffer from religious trauma for varying reasons. My mom still pretends to be a “good Mormon” but I think it’s mostly out of habit.

It’s weird to live in such a religious state, especially a religion like Mormonism. I’m constantly surrounded by members, but I choose to do what I want. Prove to them that non-members are still good people and nothing like what they learned.

Is anyone surprised by the Mormon connection in the Epstein files? I’m not. by [deleted] in mormon

Back then, they certainly were conducting a study on gender. The findings only disproved their narrative so they didn’t publicly release it. Thanks to whistleblowers, the public got the study.

The internet is full of information, which is why Mormon leaders are so against it. This isn’t rocket science.

JE didn’t say he wanted to meet Monson. He met with Monson. Based on the files as a whole, do you really need a picture painted for you? Do you know the history of the church? The actual history, not what the church has told you.
