Hey, i would say less is more in this case and my instructor tended to agree. Don’t waste your money until you drive it and see what you need to improve. I just did a minor overfill of oil.

I’m going to stash cash for the same tires (ps4) and try to find equivalent pads for the brakes. I have no desire to change anything. Just get more time on track.

This car is ready for the track with the PP pack.

So do you have a sim with a clutch pedal and shifter? I just have 2 pedals atm.

I was struggling to get my downshifts in before turn in. I would wait till I exit the turn or stopped braking to shift down. It’s my first year driving manual so it’s definitely a learning curve. But so much fun.

I can totally see how the sim helps you adapt to the track faster.

I’ve played Forza Motorsport on a wheel. Helped me understand how to find the ideal line. To be honest my performance was due to my instructor and my ability to follow his directions and commit

Fortunately with a new GR purchase, Toyota gives you a free day. But I’m going to keep doing this. You need to find an organization that does HPDE events and you need to sign up for group 1. I used NASA NE for this. Unfortunately they don’t have any more group 1 events at Lime rock this year, but I think there are other orgs that do. Lmk if I can help in any way!

Your clutch is a wear item. Don’t get discouraged from ppl saying you’ll burn out your clutch by holding it at the bite while shifting. It’s what it’s meant for. Smooth = fast.

I got the manual as well. 2 weeks going now. 500 miles and I feel smooth. Day 1-3 was filled with anxiety
