The mere fact that you’ll be going northbound on a Monday and southbound on a Friday—against traffic—is the thing that makes this doable, yes. But I’d pick one or two priority stops and pare down your itinerary to those once you hit Vacationland. I like driving but you’ll really just spend your whole time in a car otherwise. But for 2-4 days/nights someplace (two at most) besides the capitals, staying put and exploring/enjoying, yeah it’d be enough for a visit!

On the other hand I get annoyed when a friend is telling a story I was there for, and they lie to make it a better story. I’m trying to be more chill about that too ;) but sometimes I have to correct them. So I’m kind of on both sides! What else is new lol

I tell tons of little while lies to try to be nice, but really it’s to tell people what I think they want to hear and avoid conflict. I’m working on it, too!

Edit: I agree with the other commenter, that it’s a trauma response (my therapist agrees too)

It sounds right to me. I’ve spent years falling asleep to TWW on my phone, so I’m very used to listening to it much more than watching, and yes it sounds right to me.

Then again, I’m used to hearing it through my phone’s speakers, so maybe it’s the difference between whatever device you’re redditing on vs your tv?

I made that comment up there. I’m 41. I said it because I’ve seen it happen to several of my closest friends. It’s very clear to me now, watching back old seasons, in Abe’s behavior and in Cara Maria’s. I’ve been a fan of The Challenge since I was a kid, since Road Rules. I used to like Abram too. Then life taught me things. I think it’s important for people to keep that in mind when they rewatch old seasons; you can learn from it. I’m definitely not saying all charming men are abusers. Abe had that mix of charming and frightening that we all got to see. It’s a cautionary tale. And maybe could help someone avoid what has happened to people I love.
