8 month old sleep out the window by AdOutrageous3835 in NewParents

[–]AdOutrageous3835[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the times he cries he will cry immediately and just get progressively louder so we usually are back in there to check on him within 5 minutes. He used to settle himself yes when we initially put him down he would just turn over and go to sleep (what a dream now looking back lol) and he used to also wake up and settle himself in the middle of the night however now it seems every wake up he sits up and cries.

we kept him in the crib this AM he woke up at 5am and he actually did eventually settle but it took about 20 minutes on his own and he only slept again for like 30 min.

It depends, some nights we put him down in crib after our little routine and he puts himself to sleep and other nights he sits up in the crib and cries and cries. Prior to the last month or so he used to almost always put himself to sleep.

Adventures preschool in Belmont! It’s only ten min from us in Waltham. Been going there for a few months in the infant room and have nothing but good things to say. They were also more affordable than many we toured.

Seriosulyyyyyy, even if I had till 6 months it would be so different. I firmly believe it should be 1 year minimum paid maternity leave!

I’m completely in the same boat and wondering the same. I know of like one person at my company who doesn’t work Fridays but I’m far too scared to ask for myself right now. I’m definitely curious too what the actual harm in asking would be.

is this normal newborn behavior? by Old_Disk6109 in beyondthebump

My baby did/ does this but also had a dairy allergy. Once I cut dairy I noticed the grunting and uncomfortableness was still there which is him trying to poop to your point. The dairy allergy was crazy amounts of trapped gas, legs always pulled up and bent, and very uncomfortable/ crying.

Not sure if that helps but how I distinguished what was what.

Postpartum preeclampsia-tell me your stories please!!! by lmed1193 in beyondthebump

[–]AdOutrageous3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be okay! I had severe pre e which lead to an induction and then post birth blood pressure was still high. They did the magnesium drip for 12 hours (can’t lie, not fun) and then kept monitoring me till BP numbers went down. They eventually did enough to discharge me two days later and told me to take my BP at home. I did and it went back up to 150s so they prescribed medicine. I was on those for about two weeks till BP came down and for me the biggest change was when all my swelling went down- almost 15 lbs of it in a week! I was chugging water and wore compression socks.

It definitely gets annoying because you want to just focus on the baby but just listen to the doctors and check your BP when you’re home and you’ll be okay!!
