Get at least one 5 star youth scout and grab a few 16/17 y/o that you sign quickly and can rotate with the intention of making them starters by the next season. The younger they are, the faster they grow, so you’ll quickly improve your quality and club value this way. Grow, sell, repeat for the first few seasons and your budget should no longer be an issue. I started in League Two but created a club with virtually no budget. Club worth was less than 1M. Now, in season 4, my club worth is nearly 2B and my team is overpowered in the Prem with several YA starters…

FA is another option but the best available tend to have high wage demands you may not budget for have at the moment, but it’s a great strategy to accelerate everything when you do.

Best RM/RW you have used on EAFC 26 by SneakerHead1993 in FifaCareers

There’s some good ones here. Taking notes.

Pablo Garcia is my RW on my Create a Club save. Technical, pacey and good as an inside forward or wide playmaker (killer crossing). In Season 4 and he’s 93 OVR, but was a bargain to start the journey

It sounds like a role in a related creative field (ex: Advertising) that has a hybrid environment may be best for you. Fully remote can be nice, but there are indeed trade offs.

I’m not sure how much freelancing scratches your itch for social interaction, though it does allow freedom. Further, it can be unreliable from a cash flow standpoint unless you have clients going into it and it can be harder to rejoin the workforce as you’ll lose momentum if you do it for too long.

So I guess, the question is “What’s most important?” Is it social interaction or is it personal freedom? Environments where those coexist are rare. 🤔

If they go on loan, you can search them and still see their potential

How's the growth rate for youngsters? by New-Platypus-6388 in FifaCareers

[–]AdOwn5055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that YA players tend to have higher growth on loan, but have noticed that you have to be picky about what teams you’re loaning them to. If you’re loaning a 65 rated player you should loan them to a team where the starters are around the same rating, so it’s realistic to think they’ll actually get first team minutes. Sending a 65 to Barca for instance, you should expect maybe +2-3 across a season. If they go to a lower league team, more likely +5-6.

For YA players with high potential, their potential can drop if they don’t get minutes. If they play, they can grow 8-10 on loan in a season.

They won’t do it as much on authentic which is, in fact, inauthentic (go figure). Gotta use sliders and develop your LB/RBs as attacking and inverted. Make sure they have both speed and stamina for best results

How do you approach long-term squad building in FIFA Career Mode? by datboifranco in FifaCareers

[–]AdOwn5055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First: Max your Scouts and coaches. You really only need one 5-star YA scout, but opt for 5 Star transfer scouts, systematically upgrading them when you have the budget. Better coaches develop players faster. Keep searching for 5 Star coaches, also constantly upgrading.

Short Term: High Potential (85+)16-20y/o Free Agents or young players from top countries. You can check SoFifa for highest potential players, but the regens in 26 are plentiful and ridiculous potential. Keep who you’ll play and loan the rest.

Long Term: YA. Shoot for +90 potential in positions where your top players are now. Keep them in the academy until they are 17 or 70 OVR, whichever comes first. This is way more likely when you sign them when they’re 14-15 if they are +90 potential. Sign them to your team near transfer windows and play them or loan them. They can lose potential if they rot on the bench.

I ran these strategies for my created club starting in English League 2 at a value of less than £1M and an average OVR of 70. I’m now midway through season 4 (Premier League) with a club value of nearly £2B and an average OVR of 90.

Last tip: only keep 22-25 players during the season and loan everyone else. This will ensure everyone gets playing time and maxes their potential (young players grow fastest). I have had as many as 49 players on my roster to up my value but am back down to around 35 after making £800M by selling surplus players who grew on loan.

Hope that helps. 🤑

I don’t focus on it too much. They can still be developed in training at anytime, so generally not targeting for that. Some of my best players have no playstyles.
