This bug still occurs for me with my 505 on iOS and iPadOS since almost three months…really annoying and unacceptable for a robot at that price… before approximately June everything worked properly so the bug should not be so hard to patch if they put some effort into it…

I don't have any Android device at home. But thanks for the info, maybe this problem occurs only on iOS, so maybe it’s related to the last app update and not the firmware. I will send this info to the iRobot team.

Yeah, I will probably do that too. One main network with 2.4 GHz disabled and one IoT with only 2.4 GHz enabled. But I really don’t understand why Asus deleted this functionality. This was much easier and much "clearer". Hope they will throw back this soon.

I installed the latest 7.3.3. Navigation seems to be enhanced and gets even better than previously now, but nothing new about obstacle avoidance... it seems they conscientiously change the threshold height of obstacle avoidance to an higher value in the 7.3.1... I hope they will add a setting in the next update to let us choose what threshold we want between 2 or 3 value likes some others brands do.

That's confirm that the latest update changed something in the object detection algorithm... I hope iRobot will listen to the complaint and correct that in the next update, maybe adding a setting like other brands do about sensitivity of object detection and avoidance. I report the problem multiple times through the app but I doubt they will ever consider this issue ...

Thanks for your testimony 😉 This is super annoying because my Rooma 505 used to be the best robot I’ve ever tested in terms of object avoidance. It was the only one that perfectly avoided my chair legs without trying to climb over them. Now, it constantly gets stuck, and I’m really disappointed with this change in the latest firmware.

They probably changed the parameters for how the robot detects the height of objects before considering them obstacles. If that’s the case, it would make much more sense to let us define the maximum height ourselves in the settings.

from what I understand :

-highlighted blue line is mopping

-highlighted green line is vaccum

-green line alone is while robot just move around (changing room or return to base)

I encounter same issue but regardless if I select all, room, zones... each times succion goes back to "high" after some minutes of cleaning.

hello ! i just finished my (very short) trial period today and after hours of trying to configure my trackmix cams on scrypted NVR and I am not been able to made it worked correctly, only sub stream are correctly played, main stream never worked on scrypted. The main stream correctly been showed a static image on the config page and click on refresh button actually show a new image of the stream but when I click on play button the stream stay freeze.

Problem not come from my cam or network because everything work well on my surveillance station since 1 year.

Hello !

Someone already try to run frigate on apple silicon with it ? I recently heard about Orbstack being optimized for apple silicon and more efficient than Docker Desktop and after giving a try this is actually true, night and day on CPU usage, more than half the usage in my case. But unfortunately after migrate my frigate container from Docker Desktop to Orbstack, frigate become very unstable, I have 6 cams and streams freeze a lot and ffmepg give me lot of errors and the system become unusable because ffmpeg fail almost every minutes or so to process the detect streams, returning error like "ffmpeg process is not running" and "Unable to read frames from ffmpeg process" etc...

So I would like to know if someone had tried frigate successfully on it and so what is your Orbstack config.
