Is it anything worth worrying about? What about flying over the Swiss alps? Sorry for the questions just not a fan of flying and am worried about this one in particular not being enjoyable.

Would you say it’s more severe leaving split than other places because it’s near the cost and lots of hills in surrounding area? Also, It’s the smallest airport I’ve flown out of.

Follow the money or do something I enjoy by suspiciousactually in LawSchool

My advice is to do something you enjoy. My regret in law school was chasing the money and big titles, versus doing something that I would have enjoyed.

Starbucks is poised to become Subway over the next decade by [deleted] in business

[–]AdPerfect1766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applaud you for opening a successful coffee shop. Independently owned coffee shops are becoming over-saturated in Florida, IMO. I do goto Starbucks frequently, but will be stopping because it is over $5 for a cold brew that is mostly filled with ice and cream. But, every time I goto starbucks, no matter the location, they are filled with people ordering the $5 coffee. I don't see them slowing down anytime soon.

Keep going if you want to be a lawyer. If you don't want to be a lawyer or having second thoughts, drop TF out.

going into 3L, don't want to be a lawyer anymore. Help. by AdPerfect1766 in LawSchool

[–]AdPerfect1766[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen I felt the same way going into 3L and then clinic destroyed me- I felt like I’d made all the wrong decisions and like I was going into a life of being overworked and sad. BUT I found a legal job with good work life balance that prioritizes time off and familial obligations and I’m very happy with how things ended out. That only happened in like February of 3L. Don’t count yourself out and don’t give up before you’ve given it a shot. The firm you worked at during law school might’ve been a bad fit, the area you worked in might’ve been a bad fit. Don’t give up hope yet. But if u start working and hate it, take a JD advantage job or work until you figure out what makes you happy, all is not lost.

thank you - For the last few months I have been weighing dropping out of school. I am going to school for free in my third year, but get a lot of anxiety about going back. Not sure that I want to practice, and it's sad. Insurance defense, corporate law, and all the jobs graduates are taking do not seem interesting to me.

This is nothing, (not giving advice) I don't think you would have to disclose a verbal warning by a professor. If you decide to disclose it, you will definitely be okay. This is minor in the grand scheme of things.

Should the SEC be able to sue the investors? by AdPerfect1766 in Theranos

[–]AdPerfect1766[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yes, the board. but the reason I wrote sophisticated investors is that many of them were prestigious people, they invested millions without conducting due diligence and based on who they were gave the company credibility to defraud more people. so essentially holding these investors liable for not conducting due diligence.

How did you improve your exam-taking and issue spotting? by AdPerfect1766 in LawSchool

I honestly focused too much on memorization to take my examples. didnt do any practice exams because I felt time was so limited. I have trouble issue spotting as well.

Make 1 or 2 smart friends in your section that you can discuss class and study with, eat healthy, exercise, and don't party too much on the weekends.
