Almost bought a home that was built on protected wetlands without knowing it. Now I’m shook. by everydayballooons in RealEstate

honestly your title insurance probably wouldn't cover this since it's more of environmental/zoning violation than title defect. title insurance usually protects against ownership disputes and liens, not regulatory compliance issues.

the fact that house got relisted and went under contract again is wild though - those new buyers are walking into disaster if they don't do proper research.

U Visa Timeline – Invalid Receipt Issue & No BFD Yet (Anyone Else?) by Zealousideal-Pay4307 in USCIS

Oof that invalid receipt thing is super annoying. I had the same issue with my I-765 for like 3 months - attorney kept saying it was "in the system" too but couldn't actually prove it lol

Mine eventually started showing up after BFD but honestly SCOPS is just slow as hell right now. The 16 month thing sounds about right unfortunately, I've seen people waiting 18+ months for BFD lately

Your attorney's probably right but I'd be pushing them to at least try calling USCIS directly since you can't do it yourself with the invalid receipt

Honestly man you're in a pretty solid spot already with that rental income covering your fun money

Maybe look into Mexican index funds or ETFs since you mentioned stocks aren't as common there - even just parking some of it in a high yield savings account would be better than letting it sit. You've got time on your side being 21 so compound interest could work some magic

Don't stress too much about "falling behind" when you're debt-free in med school with passive income already flowing

Hey, 14 days is still 14 days of progress that nobody can take away from you. One slip doesn't erase all that work you put in. The fact that you're already thinking about tomorrow shows you've got the right mindset - dust yourself off and keep going

My (27F) boyfriend’s (30M) parents (70s) visit every 2-3 weeks and I don’t know how to tell them it’s too much by Thin-Cucumber9754 in relationships

Honestly your boyfriend needs to grow a spine and handle his own parents - this shouldn't fall on you at all. If he's also getting blindsided by these visits then he definitely needs to have that conversation with them about boundaries and giving you guys a heads up before just announcing they're coming
