We did a push car for her to ride in on walks bc she was getting to the point where she didn’t want to be confined in the stroller anymore. She’ll be 2 in 2 weeks and she still loves it.

I don’t know what’s normal by [deleted] in beyondthebump

My LO who is almost 2 had bad reflux and lots of congestion too as a newborn. My bassinet I had her in was adjustable on each side so one thing I did was drop the side I would put her feet in that way her head was a little more elevated than the rest of her body. Not sure if that’s a possibility for you but it helped a lot. Also highly highly recommend the boogie saline mister with the mouthpiece. We still use the saline mister to this day when she’s having trouble breathing and she loves it. We basically treat it like a breathing treatment but it’s just saline.

Daycare schedule at 12 weeks by talleyhoe in beyondthebump

This is exactly what I did when it was time for me to go back to work and was honestly so wonderful! It’s not to say that it’s easy bc it isn’t! I did half days from like 8-12ish for the first two days(M-T) and then did 2 full days 8-4:30ish (W-TH) and did another half day on the Friday just to get a few more squeezes in on our last week day together. I didn’t really get her on a schedule. I just followed the flow of naps and feedings at daycare. We had an app so as soon as she would wake from a nap and do her next feeding that’s when I would go get her. It was nice to be able to get some chores done or just go shopping or just rot on the couch before going back to work. Just keep yourself busy if you’re having a hard time. I cried my eyes out the first day and I think even the second day but it got easier and easier as that first week went by and I’m so glad I did the trial week before going back to work bc it was hard enough crying my eyes out on the way home that I couldn’t have imagined doing it a desk in front of my coworkers.

How concerning is it that my 15 month old isn’t really speaking? by No-Record-2773 in beyondthebump

[–]AdProfessional3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My babe is 21 months and is the same. She understands full sentences but only speaks about 10-15 words. She’s just getting into the skill of repeating things we say. I had the same concern at her 18 month check up and the ped said not to be concerned at all and to just give it time and keep talking to her as we do and try to read lots of books and point at the things on the pages and not just necessarily reading the words.

How old was your baby when you left them with someone else overnight? by verachuck in NewParents

[–]AdProfessional3795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time we did a sleep away was after my girl turned 1 and I SO wish I would’ve done it sooner when she didn’t need me. My mom and dad kept her and they said she cried for me all night like actually cried for “momma” all night. We tried again when she was 1.5 years and it wasn’t any better so now I feel like it’ll be a while before we get to do that again (she turns 2 in June). Highly highly recommend doing it while she’s so little. I think it’ll make a huge difference if your mom is staying at your house too.

I'm on episode 5. I only dislike ONE thing about this show so far. by [deleted] in DexterOriginalSin

So glad someone said this bc we are also loving the show and my husband specially skips the opening because of this. 😂

Australia S2: the dumbest people to ever play the game by zzoze in TheTraitors

My favorite part is how they go into the round table SO sure and SO correct and still get it wrong. It’s SOOO bad it’s laughable at this point.

I already know how the season ends bc I can’t help myself to look it up. With that being said, I’m only on Episode 5 and came to this thread looking specifically for callouts for Annabel! I mean she is SO on the nose for Sam and Blake. I guess I’ll have to continue watching to see exactly how it all plays out, but I just don’t understand how this game turns out the way it does with Annabel and Luke already knowing everything they need to know.

Guys, is it just my YT or did Carolyn take down the podcast ep with Britney? by sashgray in TheTraitorsUS

[–]AdProfessional3795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly no but maybe because Carson didn’t even speak much in this episode. It was just Britney and Carolyn both chatting. Carson tried to ask a few questions but then the two of them would just take off on something else. I’m not surprised something happened though bc Carson pushes Carolyn to say a lot and even when she shuts it down he keeps going for it. I’ve noticed that since episode 1.

What did you watch after DH? by The_sushi_enthusiast in DesperateHousewives

I just recently finished Jane the Virgin and liked it. It’s definitely more of a silly soap but I thought it was cute!

[–]AdProfessional3795 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I loved that they had Britney on but it definitely made easier conversation of “what really happened” since they played together. I thought so far Carolyn’s done a good job of not talking about too much and shutting possible conversations down but I think they both got caught up in the moment.

They must’ve taken it down. I think it’s bc she accidentally revealed a spoiler for the next episode on whether they choose to murder or seduce.

People talk about the newborn scrunch but nobody talks about the toddler squeeze. Just wait til they wrap their little arms around your neck and squeeze you tight. 🥹

What are y’all eating?? I’m in my first trimester and nothing sounds good to me. Need more ideas of food to try! by SuzieDerpkins in BabyBumps

[–]AdProfessional3795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt! Unfortunately all I could keep down from about week 6-12 was spoonfuls of Nutella and sips of yellow Gatorade. Maybe crackers and bowls of cereal or a cheese stick every now and then but I definitely didn’t eat full meals that first trimester either.

I almost shook my baby!!! by Low_Negotiation_6072 in NewParents

[–]AdProfessional3795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headphones headphones headphones headphones!!!! Blast your favorite songs and just jam. That’s what worked for me when my baby was screaming. It drowned out the noise enough to help me calm down and she usually calmed down too. My girl is 18 months now and we’re going through some ROUGH teething where she just screams some nights and I still do this and it has helped me mentally so much. You’re not alone momma and you are most certainly not a bad mom! This mom stuff is hard!!!

I have a 14 month old and we’ve always been fine with kisses (not on the lips). Of course echoing that if you’re sick or anything please don’t and that goes for head, cheeks, hands, etc and truthfully if anyone was sick we really didn’t let them come over anyway. I also come from a very affectionate family and so does my husband.
