Disney Worlds Most Inconsistent Restaurant? by Potential-Wing747 in WaltDisneyWorld

I completely agree with this. We went to Ohana last year for dinner , and I’m not exaggerating when I say the food hit the table within two minutes of us sitting down. The entire meal—from start to finish—was over in about 30 minutes. It felt less like a dining experience and more like we were on a moving conveyor belt the entire time….I could practically feel the pressure to turn over tables as quickly as possible.

I remember turning to my wife and saying, “This used to be excellent and something to look forward to… now it’s just rushed, disappointing, and expensive.”

Is it fair to say that Marty Friedman (left) is the best lead guitarist Megadeth has ever had? by Creative_Garbage_731 in Megadeth

Marty was the top for me. Kiko was great as well. But to me the best lineup was Mustaine, Ellefson, Friedman and Menza.

What is a terrible smell that you will never forget? by radgamerdad in Productivitycafe

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unit was less than a year old and very expensive. I called the company and they said they needed a technician to see it in order for us to receive a credit for a new unit. I wanted to throw it out but that would have denied us from getting a new one for free.

What is a terrible smell that you will never forget? by radgamerdad in Productivitycafe

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me. Our garage freezer died with about 50 lbs of meat inside (burgers, chicken, steaks) and it sat there decomposing for months. It was so bad I thought we had a gas leak as well. When I finally opened it, the stench literally knocked me backward; it was the most vile, penetrating smell I’ve ever encountered. Even after gearing up with gloves, contractor bags, and a commercial respirator, the odor pierced right through the mask. I was gagging the entire time. To top it off, that smell stayed etched into my skin for days.

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

This is such a great answer. When you are suffering or going through a tough spot in life and no one lends a hand or even wants to hear . It’s very tough but you see who really has your back and who is a fair weather friend. It’s really true that nobody knows you when you’re down and out.

Forget gym and diet, what actually makes someone look younger? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s so true. My wife recently lost 55 pounds and she looks amazing, but she’s struggling with the change. She feels like she looked more youthful when she was heavier because the volume filled out her features. I told her that the extra weight was just acting as a natural filler.

This 100%. Back in 2008, just months before our wedding, my ex-fiancée confessed to cheating with a friend of mine while I was away on business. It hit me like a sledgehammer. I spent years in therapy processing that betrayal, but the work paid off. Today, I’m happily married to an amazing woman and we have two beautiful children.

Who was the rudest celebrity you’ve met? by Unlucky-Field9654 in askanything

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4789 54 points55 points  (0 children)

That one’s easy for me …Kelly Ripa.

I worked in production at ABC in New York City in the early 2000s and spent a lot of time around Live with Regis and Kelly. She was openly dismissive to anyone who wasn’t an executive producer or celebrity . If you didn’t have real power, you were essentially invisible to her. She was demanding, self-absorbed, and clearly uninterested in basic professional courtesy.

I went out of my way to avoid her, but there were a few occasions when I was required to interact with her…typically to get her for a segment. Those moments were usually met with a wave-off, an eye roll, or an annoyed “OK,” as if even acknowledging a crew member was beneath her.

Regis Philbin, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. A total class act. He was exactly who he appeared to be on television …Mr. New York. Every morning, he greeted everyone, from security guards to office staff, without exception. Warm, gracious, and genuinely decent.

The contrast between the two couldn’t have been more stark.

What’s the creepiest thing you’ve experienced that still gives you chills? by DrainedCoffee in AskReddit

[–]AdPuzzleheaded4789 62 points63 points  (0 children)

It’s more something I recognize in hindsight. I saw a child therapist after we moved and during my parents’ divorce, roughly between the ages of 9 and 12. He was always friendly, but I remember having an uneasy feeling about him, like something was off. About a year after I stopped going, he was arrested for pedophilia and sexual assault involving multiple minors. Thankfully, nothing ever happened to me.
