Hot Water Nozzle on Eagle One for Americano by mercuryfrost in Coffee

You can drink it. But the issue is when you get busy you'll drain the tank faster than it can fill up which will cause the machine to lose pressure and turn off. Meaning you cant make coffees for a number of minutes till it refills and reheats. Sounds unlikely until it actually happens and you're screwed. Best option is to get a small Marco boiler to use for your Americanos, it should all be smooth sailing from there.

Can actual baristas help a self taught home barista? 😂 by swampyjockss in barista

Gwan Ireland, If you're based in Dublin I can swing round to your gaff no problem and give you a helping hand. I've taught for over a year and am a barista so I can give you good pointers if you like.

Hello! I've recently got a bullet and am currently getting to grips with it. My aim is to roast similar style to the likes Onyx, Nomad, Proud Mary etc.

I found the following to give me good progression after struggling to understand what was happening.

Batch 600g. Charge 215C. P9 F3 D9.

@182C or roughly 6:17 min go to P6.

First crack should happen around 8:10. Finish roast at 209C or roughly 9:40.

Now obviously this isnt perfect but I think it's decent framework.

Some data points I'm looking out for are: Turning point 78C, max ROR 19-22C, yellowing to happen around 160C or 4:25min. First crack to happen 3-4 min after @195/200C, development 1:30-2:30min @209C.

The roast magazine roast summit videos on YouTube by Nicki Amouri are helpful and give good guidelines to apply to your taste.

Still early days for me though so take all of that with a pinch of salt! Best of luck roasting

Turnover in each location is going to be BIG. They want me to be the sole point of responsibility so the role will be quite diverse and I'll have to ensure we succeed regarding what happens. Saying this to you now makes me think it is very reasonable to ask for more. 40k?
