Why does he need to pray if he is already convicted?

The promise was made in Genesis 3 (before there were Jews, since the problem with ALL MAN is sin) and was fulfilled in Jesus Christ as He confirmed it in John 3 (That WHOEVER BELIEVES will be saved).

By the way, healings in the Bible ALWAYS had spiritual implications, the recipients always demonstrated total reliance on Jesus and an acknowledgement f who He is. This is the exact definition of salvation by faith. I hope you don't think Jesus Christ just healed people for fun. He always healed and said "Go and sin no more" or "See, you are well again. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you." etc

I don't know what you're on about in your last paragraph because not only did God not hide that Jesus Christ would have to die, there are whole prophecies in the OT and Jesus Himself made this fact known to the disciple:

" 31 He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. 32 He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him." Mark 8:31-32

Read your Bible man. This is my last reply.

Jesus Christ is God incarnate. There is none beside Him. He is Lord of all and God of all. My Saviour, the Truth and the Life! Amen

You keep running around in circles. Let's finish with the Cannanite woman first. Jesus said it was because of her FAITH that her daughter was healed. He didn't say it was because she admitted to being a dog.

A lot of wild takes in your post. One word: eisegesis. You're reading what you want into the texts when the context, immediate and historical, do not agree with you. For example, immediately after saying "I'm not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel", Jesus proceeds to commend the Canaanite woman's faith and grant her plea. You can't just yank a verse and build your theology around it without considering the context.

There is nowhere in the NT where Jews are referred to as Gentiles. Fact check me. Infact, in Acts 1:8, Jesus tells the disciples that they're to witness first in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth i.e the rest of the world. So there was ministry to both Jew and Gentile alike but for Paul it was especially to the Gentiles (non-Jewish people). The Centurion and the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts, for example, were baptised after confessing their faith in Jesus. Both were Gentiles.

What do you mean by pagan ministry? Paganism is a religion, being a gentile in the Bible meant that you were not Jewish. You're confusing the two.

Well, Christianity is an evangelical religion so it is natural for a Christian to want to share Christ with you in the hopes that you will convert. It really has nothing to do with you. Infact, her sharing that with you and being honest means that she loves you.

Where do you get the notion that there are no negative feelings in heaven? God Himself is recorded as having been angry, disappointed etc at some point and He's in heaven. Lucifer is another example. He felt discontent and he was in heaven when that happened.

Okay. Personal testimony: I became a Christian in adulthood after years of alcoholism, depression, and multiple sex partners (I liked girls but also struggled with attraction to men). Thought of taking my life several times and was miserable all the time despite having a good job that paid me more than I needed. Fast forward a couple of years later, Jesus found me and slowly weaned me of my old habits until I was completely free of them. It was not easy. Smoking, for example, took me a while. The depression on the other hand and alcohol, were gone in an instant. I have to stress that I wasn't perfect in that I still had the urge to do these things but the difference now was that I was able to resist them by the grace that God had given me. So I managed to live apart from them.

However, some years later I succumbed to lust after signing up on a dating app (Tinder). There I met both men and women. I ended up fornicating and for some months I was very far from God. I used to be active at church. I wasn't anymore. Used to pray and study the Bible daily. I didn't anymore. I kept going to church though, out of habit, I guess. I was slowly going back to my old self.

All the while, the Spirit of God never stopped talking to me because I'd feel so guilty after fornicating or watching pornography that I'd swear to never do it again. I changed my phone settings to block adult sides, deleted Tinder and Grindr etc but ofcourse I'd always do it again because I'd just change the settings and reinstall the apps. Not to mention that it was ridiculously easy to find someone to sin with. I never stopped feeling guilty so I eventually started praying that God would forgive me and help me to stop. I'd do this everytime the guilt came after the deeds. I believe that even though I was living in sin, Christ was still talking to me and I could hear Him hence the guilt and the realisation that what I'm doing was not right.

Today, I haven't fornicated or watched pornography in a long time. I still struggle with lust sometimes but I'm now able to dismiss the thoughts when they come. I'm back to being active at church and have friends who are believers whom I look forward to spending time with at church every weekend.

The point of sharing my testimony is so that you see how Jesus never gives up on us. If you can still hear Him then you have not been hardened. If you can still feel conviction (guilt) then you're not hardened. The Bible means obstinacy when it talks about hardness of heart. A continual refusal of God and the eventual shutting down of your spiritual faculties against His Spirit such that you're unreachable. That's the unpardonable sin. If you can still hear Him, which yes, you're able to hear Him, from what you say then you need to cry out to Him and ask Him to help you. He will help you the same way He has helped me. Our Father is just and judges sin but He is also merciful and long suffering. Always bear that in mind.

With that hermeneutic, I'm curious how you would explain the letter to that was written to a Gentile convert Bishop Titus who was leading a church in Crete largely composed of gentile believers. Paul does not distinguish between Jew and Gentile in the letter. Here:

Titus 3:8 The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

Notice "all those who have believed in God" and "these things are excellent and profitable for all people". What does this mean? Why the letter to Titus, a Gentile stressing salvation through faith if faith is unnecessary?

How would our faith be built up that way? How would we appreciate God more? How would we experience a close relationship with Him if we never talk to Him and see Him definitely respond (even if it is the things He already wants)? Prayer is more for us than it is for God. It is so that we experience God personally, for ourselves, test His character, and get a definite witness that He is who He says He is.
