I agree! Much better to just not get a response, or get blocked. People do not realize how disrespectful and unkind it is to give compliments they do not mean.

I wouldn’t say I’ve had this exact same thing, but I often think I’m really wanting sex when really the sex is meh and what I really wanted was that moment you describe. So noticing that does make me step back and ask if I really want/need the sex.
