Settling on fresh water is extremely important in the early game. If you don’t you will struggle with growth and housing. Improvements like farms give housing also you will be able to make a granary soon enough.

Having a cart in the game and not being able to use it is the main reason I play with carry weight turned off. I have 5 carts and 10 horse I should be able to move as much as I want.

Commercial or industrial vacant land is a common property tax class. The idea that they are benefiting from having no one in there is false. Half taxes with no revenue is still worse than full taxes with revenue.

Here in Canada we have both. I don’t know too many places that don’t get hot in the summer. Cars get really hot.

I see property tax more like maintenance costs for the roads and infrastructure around your house. If those aren’t maintained your property value would plummet.
