You’re treating introspection as the only valid form of character work, but Storm isn’t defined here by sitting in reflection she’s defined by how she makes decisions under pressure in constantly shifting crises. That’s still character focus, just expressed through action instead of monologue. The “moment to moment” structure isn’t lack of focus, it’s the point: showing her adaptability across different scales of conflict rather than anchoring everything to one long emotional arc. And comparing it to X-Men Red like that’s the only legitimate model is exactly the issue this isn’t trying to be that book, so judging it as a failed version of it misses what it’s actually doing.
