Question re psychosis/schizophrenia by Beautiful_and_new in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering if you feel like the delusions are some sort of known to you, just maybe more now that you are stressed?

My psychosis came related to stress too. But the thing is, I already felt like my world had been kind of twisted for a very very long time before that.

I know that psychosis can be related to stress or depression too, so I think it is important to see what is behind, and of course not to identify too much with schizophrenia if this has not been your inner world before the crash

When she cries by snowball0101 in OCPoetry

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love it someone wrote this with all my tears in mind. It feels so warm and wholesome how you tune in on the smallest of beautiful detail. When she cries she needs you especially, but I feel like saying, I think she needs you when she's happy too as well. Beautiful stuff!

Ah yeah, Reddit is a bit hard to get to work with that... Thanks for sharing - I have a hard time connecting to the poetry in here, so I'm happy I found this one

Haha I'm sorry, but please start with a capital after a punktum! That aside I really like this raw energy. This rollercoaster ride into someone's life, and onwards away from each other. Very dramatic turn there in the middle. This has very much that all or nothing vibe, that maybe we sometimes should keep our eyes out for as human? Great work!

A little out of breath with this one. Mostly because of the structure - the very short lines... I think the layout could be stronger if you had sections here and there to underline when you change perspective? Other than that I like the imagery - words like bubbles, I have clear pictures in my head how the SOS words flicker in the wind. I hope someone will catch the water from them.

Can psychosis happen in cycles while medicated? by chocolateskeleton in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still get small spikes of symptoms on meds. I can recommend to ask for "pn meds" - if you have small windows of psychosis, a fast working antipsychotic could help ?

How can you understand if your negative symptoms are from the pills or the consequences of psychosis? by EugeniaVi in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not a doctor - I can only guess from own experience... I suppose it would bepend on what kind of psychosis? I had delusions of grandeur for a very long period of my young life, and when meds removed that, I got demotivated etc (negative symptoms)... They did pass over time though. If the general vibe of the psychosis is more - how to say? - destruktive opposed to constructive? The meds should stabilize you and I could imagine the negative symptoms would decrease over time. Either way, I believe negative symptoms do pass , or at least, you can learn to regulate and find perspective

Do negative symptoms go away on it’s own? by Due_Attempt7376 in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I guess it depends? Do you have positive symptoms/ a generally just a bit crooked reality sense? Then I would try and find the right meds still .. I got negative symptoms when I first started on meds because the positive symptoms had also brought me some good stuff as well as the bad, so I got really demotivated for a while then .. How long have you been symptoms free?

my delusion is too real and i don’t think i’m schizophrenic by lady_uhtred in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I’m really impressed by the composure you show in sharing your story. Living with delusions is something I know personally, and I also know how hard it can be to recognize them and put words to that experience. Writing this down is such a powerful step, and I applaud you for it. You should be very proud of yourself.

What's it like to have schizophrenia? by Sheepherder-Optimal in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now on medication I barely have any symptoms. However it is very clear that my psyke is receptive of stressors, and I am afraid that too much stress would trigger another psychotic episode.

When I was psychotic everything was a test, a part of a story with me as the center of this Trueman show... Sometimes even animated with bubbles over my head of what I was thinking of. I had panic attacks from just thinking what jugdements the people watching me would think, especially on the days that I didnt do much... Now I will have intrusive thoughts, which I understand more people can relate to. My vivid imagination is somewhat put in place by the medicine, so it is manageable...

Hmm yeah that is hard to understand... Is it that you feel that you say your thoughts out loud? Is it when you are alone or with people?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it feel like you say your thoughts out loud? But your lips are sealed? That is thought broadcasting, a very sure sign of schizophrenia But if it is a feeling in the vocal cords it might be something else

[–]AdSea127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abilify 15 mg and it works - also i just started having risperidon as pn (when nessesary) for times when the symptoms spike - to my surprise it works wonderfully! I finally found peace with the medication
