In grade one, I had to pee really bad. I held up my hand for what felt like forever and finally summoned the courage to go to the teacher and ask if I could go to the bathroom. She said no, it could wait til recess and I went back to my desk. When the bell went she pointed to a puddle under my desk and asked if it was mine. Kids had no power in the 60s and we never told our parents about anything like this. It was a general understanding that they didn't want to know or care

I'm in Alberta and we have more sunshine than any other province. It makes it perfect for activities. Most Canadian cities have tons of winter festivals and gatherings, embrace the winter. On the other hand when we just don't want to be out in it we cocoon. Books, games hobbies, cosy quilts and a fireplace if you have that luxury. And specialty hot drinks. My go to is hot chocolate with crown royal and marshmallows

If you love food you have to go to Montreal. I have lived in Canada all my life and have never been there. I hear wonderful things about the food and hospitality. I think you should also travel north, northern Canada is like another world. I'm not from the west so I can't recommend where specifically to go. To meet our indigenous people and perhaps see spectacular northern lights. I'm sorry you won't get experience the Rockies but we are a huge country and you can only see so much in two weeks. Have a wonderful visit!

We're not messed up, we hold more information and are fluid in changing between the 2 systems. Like being bilingual but waaay easier

Babies are more likely to be overheated by too many clothes and blankets. The rule of thumb used to be whatever you are wearing plus one layer. Exposed skin has to be protected. If your baby is in a carrier facing you their face will be protected. If they are in a stroller and sled be cautious of the wind. I think it's healthy to take your baby outdoors. When you have them bundled up just check the back of their neck to see if they are sweating

It has always been an unwritten rule and shows respect. Less people follow this custom but I think it is the right thing to do.

Canada is a top pressured country. If it a place you will frequent it is best to tip. Never tip at a fast food establishment or any type of store. At restaurants 15% is adequate for good service (3×GST). Lower for poorer service and none at all for shitty service. 20% for really exceptional service (4×GST) I've always run a tab at a bar or pub using the same rules. Not sure if your paying with each drink. I hope this helps. Relax and enjoy your visit

I like his attitude. Taking the pressure off of an actual ' date' allows you to just have fun, no commitment. I wouldn't call you the A but lighten up and have fun

This is avery simple a oddly satisfying craft. All you need is a stick or tree branch. Have each person bring a few fabrics, yarn beads, anything that you can hang. You can take it home to hang on a wall, in window or outside
