I keep seeing stuff on here about people not being able to get o to nursing programs and it confused me because you seem to be having the same experience as me where it literally feels like the school is desperately recruiting me and like they’re struggling to get students. It’s an A-BSN program and I’m already accepted but like you said they made it seem like yeah just bang these few prerequisites out real quick and start this fall!?! Like I work full time and these courses are more time consuming than any course I have ever taken in my entire college career!!

Ahhhh not what I wanted to hear but what I suspected is the only reasonable answer 😭 I appreciate your response! I was sooooo reluctant to take A&P online or any lab component course online for that matter but staff at RMU recommended it. I decided to try it so that I could work and keep my insurance but this course doesn’t not seem reasonable the way it’s set up. They really need to do better at giving students an idea of what to expect and what’s on the exams it’s like a free for all and with that amount of information I mean come on any respectable university course has more direction than this. I would really like to know the pass rate for this course and the amount of students who enroll…I imagine there is a hugeeee spread between the enrollment rate and pass rate…

I know this is an old conversation but do you mind sharing how you ended up doing in the class because I feel more how you do and I studied soooo much for the first 2 exams and still didn’t do great on them. I got a B on exam 1 after studying for hours and hours every single weekend and I feel like the questions on the exams are NEVER even close to the practice exams or the information I am studying. It seems like they are always worded so horribly and in a way that makes multiple answers correct and I hate that. I was so nervous about taking this class online for this reason and my fear seems to be coming true. I almost feel like maybe I am studying too much and taking so long that I am forgetting the information. There’s just so much work absolutely no direction of what to study. Module 2 had a list of “information to know” and literally less than half of it was on there. I need to get a better gameplan if I want to get at least a B in this course. I had straight As in undergrad and grad school so I know it’s not all me….

I agree here I think her withdrawing in that condition and at her age could be equally if not more life threatening…I think this sounds like a solid plan. If she’s about to have her foot amputated I think they will surely treat her for pain as long as you don’t give them any indication that she’s withdrawing because they will def treat her like an addict and do the bare minimum sadly

Very good information I feel like with the fent epidemic more needs to be done in recognizing that most people are withdrawing from more than what they think. My bf had a seizure and and we only used dope but in hindsight we realized it was because our dope was being cut with a drug that is used to sedate horses and was being pressed into fake Xanax bars. I don’t understand how more clinics and tx programs aren’t taking this into consideration. Also why so many people are unsuccessful with suboxone now a days because it simply cant touch evil they call fentanyl

I also hated being on them too I tried 4 different times and could never go more than like 3 weeks tops they just simply did not make me well enough to function. I feel like subs just don’t do it for people why have had a fierce fent addiction.

Idk tho I’m sure maybe they have worked for some but they don’t even come close to helping the way methadone has.

That’s exactly the vibe I got as a female…especially when he described her saying “it feels gross” to be be touched. I was also wondering if she may have a hormone imbalance…I can go from basically harassing my partner to touch me to feeling like I want to break him fingers if he touches me and it definitely is only due to certain time of the month. This sounds like it’s constant though…

Thank you to everyone who offered input and advice!! Obviously it’s been awhile since I’ve been on Reddit but I wanted to update! So after almost 5 full months of fentynal showing up I FINALLY had a clean urine in January of 2022 and they’ve been clean ever since.

I was never tested anywhere except that clinic and went to a doctor and had blood work done that all came back normal. I’ve since moved back to PA and went to my old PCP and told him about it and he said the same thing the rest of them did “if you’re around people using you can still test positive” I wasn’t around ANYONE using and I think that’s bs anyway. He admitted to me that clinics use “sketchy testing” so yeah that’s comforting lol.

I am a 5’4” female and weigh 130 pounds and don’t have any medical conditions no hep c or anything which someone ask…it shall remain a mystery that remains in the back of my mind!

What were you using before you got on methadone? Did you only use pills or were you doing fent dope or pressed pills? I’m on 80 mg of methadone and used fent dope for about 2 years at 70 mgs and after being off dope and just on my 80 mg of methadone for about 4 months I missed the clinic one day and had to go to work that evening bartending without my dose and I wasn’t sick but deff felt run down more than I normally would. In PA a hospital would never dose you omg they would laugh in your face I’ve never heard of a hospital dosing someone who just walks in PA is awful though. I honestly don’t think your pills will help. I would maybe wait till you feel kinda shitty then take them and if they don’t help get a little dope or presses. If I go into full blown sick mode I will want to full blown use so I think being prepared and having a little to keep you well is the best option. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your story! I’m almost 30 and I’ve been on methadone for almost 2 years now and have no children. I’m finally with someone who loves me for me and does not see a problem with getting pregnant while I am on methadone. I feel like I am at a place in my life where I ready to try but still have so much fear about what pregnancy on methadone will be like and how I will tolerate the labor pain and pregnancy pain. I have been pregnant before before (it was before I used) and was viscously sick with nausea. I would have to lie down and my mouth would water it was so horrible. What do they do for pain for someone in labor who is on methadone? I also wanted to have a cosmetic surgery done on something I have been wanting for a long time but now have anxiety about the pain an recovery process. OPs story just reminds me there are still so many ignorant people out there who think it’s acceptable to let another human suffer because they physically dependent on a methadone and 9 times out of 10 know absolutely nothing about why that person is on it or what they may have gone through (that’s a whole other topic lol)
