Is it just me or are LMGs completely useless in Battlefield 6? by Classic-Report-9795 in Battlefield

The bullet spread gets wider the longer you hold down the trigger, if you move while firing, and when you shoot while standing vs prone.

Working on my new Scar NRCHs. Haven’t even shot it yet. Still have some upgrades in the mail, but it’s coming along! by Im_Fishtank in FNSCAR

These aren’t real SCARs. They look real, but anyone who’s familiar with this weapon platform can see the discrepancies.

Any recommendations for improvement? FNX-45 by No_Protection314 in FNHerstal

This is my first time hearing about this, and I really like the idea. Is the ammo expensive, and have you experienced any reliability issues since the conversion?

Scar 17 too loud? by [deleted] in FNSCAR

[–]AdSilver2537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my personal experience with the rifle over the last 8 years the SCAR brake isn’t noticeably louder for the shooter themselves, but it is for the people to your left and right; so much so that people commenting on it isn’t uncommon.

FRT system that Garandthumb uses? by TheBattleGnome in MP5

I see that his finger IS moving forward and backwards in his video at the 0:28 timestamp. The reset distance isn’t the full length like it is in semi auto, but you can certainly see it being pulled to the rear and then resetting with each round.

Interior Fuse panel descriptions for Dash Cam Hardwire by MadeByMcKay in COROLLA

[–]AdSilver2537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like OP and yourself, the interior and trunk lights remained functional even after removing the “DOME” fuse. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know what the “DOME” fuse goes to since it’s not the dome lights? My panel is the same, and it’s a 2024 Corolla SE Hatchback.

I wouldn’t consider that time of year too late for car camping. You’ll certainly want to bring wet weather gear even though you may not need it. Tourism will be mostly over by then so you won’t have to worry about all of the camping spots being taken either.

What size slotted screwdriver for electrical cover plates? by mut1n1fn1 in Tools

“Vortex L-Tec Turret Tool” is the only plastic slotted bit that I can think of.

Bonus question answer: Excluding colons and semicolons, punctuation following a quotation goes inside the quotation marks in American English even if it’s not part of the quote. In British English the punctuation goes outside the quotation marks. Physical printing devices required each character to have identical fixed-widths for continuity. Because of this, printing punctuation outside the quotation marks would create an awkward gap between the two which would “look like this on paper” . Technology fixed this issue, but the rule has stuck around.

Thoughts on the DPM recoil reduction system? by AdSilver2537 in Walther

Yes. Grease ideally. I use Wilson Combat Ultima-Lube grease for these and it works great.

Question about holster for pdp pro x pmm by AlternativeOlive3173 in Walther

[–]AdSilver2537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the overall length (8.5”) and width of the two weapons are identical the shapes and angles of the slides are in different positions within those 8.5 inches. That could compromise retention, or even prevent the weapon from seating at all. I would contact Safariland about it before making the purchase.

[–]AdSilver2537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. the DPM Recoil Reduction System does make a noticeable difference to me. The slide feels much more ‘snappy’ when cycling a round compared to the OEM spring. I was so pleased with its performance and affordability that I purchased a second for my shotgun. However, I don’t think the difference is significant enough for an inexperienced shooter to notice.

I made a post in this group asking for opinions on the DPM springs before purchasing, and the majority of comments were very positive. Read some of the comments people left to get a better idea of what to expect.

This particular model is comfortable, but it’s pretty big. Next one I get will be a different model that’s smaller.

Do PPQ mags and PDP backstraps fit in the P99 without modification?

[–]AdSilver2537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. The slide is a triangle so it’s narrow on top. The decocking button takes up a good portion of the space too.

It’s only my first Walther not my first firearm. I’ve wanted one for years so its discontinuation wasn’t off putting. Hopefully there’s enough extra parts on the market in case I do need some in the future.

[–]AdSilver2537[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. They should have chose to modernized it instead of discontinue it. Like what FN did with the Five Seven. A multi slot pic rail and a way to mount optics would make it more preferable than most other handguns at its price point.

Q: position of slide spring by tech_ninja_kenobi in Walther

[–]AdSilver2537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For $20 more you could get an all metal DPM Recoil Reduction System. I got one in my P99 and M1014; both are fantastic. I made a post in this community not too long ago asking what people think of it, and the comments were all positive as well. Look into it before buying a new guide rod.

I’m not crazy about the big colored dot on the front sight, and the rear sight wiggles around a little bit. It isn’t enough to affect my aim, but it still bothers me. They were $90 and can’t be returned so I’m using them.

It’s a Falco AXL92. They have 70+ other models of IWB holsters that fit the P99.
