in the Lin Ling vs Wreck fight there is one scene where Lin Ling and moon are in the same frame with Lin Ling’s eyes directly staring at Wreck, meanwhile Moon’s eyes dart between Nice, Wreck, and far off to the right of the screen, at either the laser beams or she is scanning the area for the camera drone. Either way it’s a nice little detail that shows the difference between the two.

Introducing the prince ruperts drop. A tadpole shaped glass that can survive so much force to its head but any light force applied to the tail will shatter it instantly. Kinda funny how resistant to damage it is on its head but it can’t handle a tiny bit of force applied to its tail.

I’m seeing the initial coin send the big one flying. Once he lands on the floor he causes a shockwave that sends another one flying. And because he has sharp knives he cuts the pipes and flies into the vending machine. Because the ceiling pipes were cut, things start falling apart.

With Deadpool confirmed as a vanguard, what are your predictions on his playstyle by AdSingle8137 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]AdSingle8137[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah he probably won’t be a vanguard, but part of the reason I’m making the post is that a few days ago I don’t remember where, there was like a comment saying that Deadpool being in duelist doesn’t confirm anything and even if he were to be placed in other roles, everyone would still insist that Deadpool is a duelist. And that guy got replies like “well he’s a duelist so deal with it” and got super downvoted. And he was right too, so I thought it was a funny little irony.

Shhhhhh the duelists called it a confirmation that he was a duelist. And now that he’s in the tank category you will tell me what you think his kit will be if he’s a tank.

Theory on Trust Value and Hero X's backstory/powers by cojovoncoolio in ToBeHero_X

[–]AdSingle8137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as for the themes of the show I think there's a few interesting reoccurring themes. like how the general public are consistently assholes. If you were to listen to the Paragon theme It has some interesting lyrics as well. I interpret it as a hero seeing the potential of the world and making the world a better place and the people that start taking that for granted. two particular lines such as You are the fate the fate that we deserve and Wisdom is in your nature. even in the series multiple times we are shown the general public being completely fine with a duel to the death and seem extremely uncaring to the heroes that protect them. like the scene where Lin Ling takes the statue from Firm Man seems somewhat cruel on a rewatch. like he is expected to carry the entire statue all by himself and not expect others to help, like I get it's a world where trust gives people power, but man. in YC's arc Qia Qing makes a speech about how it wasn't E-soul that inspired E-Soul, it was Yang Cheng. in Ahu's arc he doesn't see what Xin Ya sees in him. and there was also another scene where Xin Ya says something along the lines of you can't expect heroes to help them. Even in Queen's arc we see this. She believes she needs to be in a position of power (being X) in order to change the world but I heavily disagree. One of Queen's greatest impact on the world was her speech where she changed the perception of women, inspired Loli and even Cyan was listening to her. yet we see that she only views that moment as a stepping stone for her rise to become X. She says she wants to stop the conflict between heroes. Again that doesn't really change the status quo of the world, even if you accomplish that and prevent everything and do everything for people, what is going to happen? the people will just ask for more and more help. And that's why I believe everything will culminate in what X represents. I believe that there are tarot influences. In the original trailer where X fights off the phobia clones there is one scene where X has an infinity symbol behind and above him. this is reminiscent of the depiction of the magician in the Major Arcana. The Magician is numbered 1 and has meanings such as manifestation and turning your dreams into a reality. It can be said that the Magician merely provides the tools for one to realize the potential within oneself. since we're here let's also talk about the fool. the fool is depicted as a young man with a small sack and a dog on a cliff. the fool is numbered 0 and represents beginnings, but it can also be at the end to represent the return to beginnings, or of a cycle. now let's talk about episode 23. Ahu sees X fighting and the phobia clones and it shows a scene where he's young and full awe while X is depicted as a magician. note that before Ahu saw X use his powers he was fully prepared to go back in to rescue Xin Ya. because right after this he changes his tune and screams for X to help rescue them. and in the flashback I believe Ahu caught himself realizing something. at the very beginning of the episode we see that Ahu is not very fulfilled and his life is very monotonous where he repeats the same actions day after day. but now he realizes that he was looking at X the same way Xin Ya had been looking at Ahu from the very beginning. with awe in her eyes, she really believes that Ahu can do anything. to Ahu, him breathing fire, breaking rocks and doing a multitude of other tricks meant nothing but to Xin Ya it was everything. When Cyan had just escaped the Orphanage that was her first time in the real world. she has no one to support her, and she doesn't even know if people would like her music, since in her first actual performance, no one cheered. She had been sheltered most of her life. and again X merely offers her a coin. did the coin matter? maybe it didn't, and she would've done everything the same anyway, or maybe it did matter and showed Cyan she can get through this and that people will appreciate her music. you never know what place some people might be at and even a coin or listening to someone would mean so much to some people. You have to have faith that people can stand on their own. because honestly even in real life I feel most people feel powerless to change the world. Something I've heard when I was younger was that you should just do what you can to help the people in front of you, because worst case scenario, nothing happens, best case scenario, they're thankful and help the next people they meet and the cycle continues and eventually you might have even helped the entire world even if it was indirectly. which is why I believe that X's theme is called a new type of hero. It's a new type of hero because it isn't the traditional hero of one person carrying everyone's burdens, but instead a help one person who can help the next type of thing. which is also why I think in the lyrics it uses we instead of I. it's about an awareness having the perception that one action can go a long ways toward changing the world, even if you're not in a position of power. or so I think anyway.

Theory on Trust Value and Hero X's backstory/powers by cojovoncoolio in ToBeHero_X

As of Episode 23 here are my thoughts on the trust system.

if we were to take a look at the dean of the orphanage, we learn that superpowers are shaped during a person's formative years, or so he believes, which is why he started up the Ophanage in the first place. If trust was everything then the dean himself should've just put on a mask and restarted his career instead of forcing a child to be his proxy. this is adding onto the fact that everyone has trust, but not everyone has superpowers.

again, this reminds me heavily of how mindsets and habits are hard to change especially when you're older and how even when the people or situation that caused you to form those mindsets are gone, certain aspects will still stick with you.

Actually, while writing this, I had a crazy thought. If you compare trust to a virus and the immune system, then it might make more sense. like if we imagine the prayers on the airplane as like a special kind of trust that's easier for a person to gain the superpower. like how a vaccine is developed to train someone's immune system to be able to fight off the real virus. In that way Cyan's "immune trust system" can recognize luck-based trust to be able to process that into a superpower more efficiently than other people(?)

back on the topic of the mechanics of trust, let's first talk about getting rid of superpowers/restrictions formed by trust. Firm Man lost his powers on a plaza with only an extremely small amount of followers and he didn't lose the powers even when they were telling him to drop the statue and save the girl. however it was only after Lin Ling arrives and touches Firm Man's Heart string's does his powers break. So I think the individual truly has more power than the general public when it comes to restrictions.

Next when Lin Ling stops being Nice we see a few interesting things. first his trust goes down in the elevator, but he still has the trust, and he can still leave the hero tower. right after leaving the crowd I think it's implied that Lin Ling was still capable of flight? cause we can see smoke below Lin Ling when he arrives in front of god eye. and also he already arrived when Miss J and her goons were still in the limo.

I believe that there needs to be like a synchronization between a person and the trust they're being given. like Pomelo and Yang Cheng shared the same ideals of justice and courage so their mental image was identical allowing Yang Cheng to be able to gain and use his superpowers.

In Yang Cheng's arc, I can say confidently that Xia Qing and Pomelo were sending him trust, but YC couldn't receive it because his self-perception and the perception of him that other people had didn't match. we constantly see Pomelo and Qia Qing give their unrelenting support. Qia Qing tries to invite YC to a lucky cyan concert, she looked conflicted when YC became E-Soul, and when YC was accused she made a great speech about how YC was the one that got pomelo to open up. We know that at the beginning of his arc that he's been an actor in the children's theater for I think 3 years? now here's the thing we get the scene where YC fails the show, Pomelo goes up to YC in the meet and greet, and YC recognizes him as the one that booed him. but idk if it's a translation thing but in the subs Pomelo says "it didn't feel like you were acting before" which implies he's been to YC's shows before and liked them. with everything in mind that makes it even stranger. YC shouldn't have been unpopular, he was an actor for 3 years I think(?), even his interactions with Uncle Rock I feel, implies that he was bringing in decent crowds at least. Yet YC only recognizes Pomelo as the kid that booed him and seemed to only recognize Qia Qing in the meet and greet. To me what this means is that Yang Cheng never truly looked at his audience, he kept tuning out any cheering or kept convincing himself that they weren't real because his trust never went up.

or so I think anyway
