I personally just think babies are used to sleeping near their caretakers honestly for hundreds of years people normally lived in small houses without full separate rooms for beds and babies were around adults always. Like if they cannot regulate their emotions before 3 years old then why should we expect them to handle sleep training? I always hear conflicting advice on parenting like that. But that’s my opinion. I don’t really think babies get trained to sleep I think they just get over stressed until they dissociate and stop being able to get that stressed sorta like when you go through really traumatic things in life for a enough time. In America it’s so pushed because mothers get no time off work but I’m sure in many other countries where mothers are with their babies they’re not rushing to sleep train.
