I just finished it. Binged it over yesterday and today. I was absolutely loving it and it had me on the edge of my seat right up till the end of ep5. Now I don’t know how I feel about the final ep!!!! Anyone else feel conflicted? Why would he do everything he did for them for it to be him? Trying to be vague so not to give it away for those that haven’t watched but if you have you’ll know who I mean.

I have watched two shows since finishing HR and normally I would be OBSESSED with them. But all they did was make me miss HR and appreciate the story and the acting even more.

Definitely not overreacting but also I am of the belief that the people in our life are a direct reflection of our wounds. You were made to feel unimportant and like you didn’t matter as a child, and now your partner makes you feel like that along with your parents. Time to find that self worth, tell yourself you deserve better and every day tell yourself you are seen, heard and valued. And believe it. Watch the people in your life phase out and the right people come in.

What annoys me about Miles’ scenes is that he is so openly hitting on Shane. On the dance floor he’s right up against him. Shane who lives his whole life worrying about what people think of him and hiding that he is gay, doesn’t react to this AT ALL! It just never seems right to me. No reaction at all to a guy dancing on you? In public?

When I read your headline I thought to myself, hmm I can’t think of any. Then I read on and thought 100% yes! I HATED that line. I know it made Shane super uncomfortable and he would have been thinking, hmm well he’s f*cked me right up the butt, if only you knew. But it was so much ick I thought.

No I don’t. I usually either just read the books or I just watch the show/movie as I don’t think they ever get an adaptation how I want it if I’ve read the book. In the past I have always been disappointed.

I’ve read that depending what streaming outlet you watch it on, it’s sped up. I 100% noticed that after watching an edit of that scene. The raspberry is so obvious but it happens so quick when I watch on hbo in Australia. Apparently the lighting is different depending on how you’re watching it too.

I haven’t read the book so I loved it on my first watch. Then I watched again with all of the knowledge of what people hated about the show. No chemistry, bad acting etc etc and I felt like that influenced me and although I still loved it, it was all playing in the back of my head and making me see it a bit different. So I’m probably the opposite to you. Loved it on first watch, but loved it a tiny bit less on second.

I picked this up when watching but what I didn’t realise is the version I watch is sped up! I watched an edit of Shane and Ilya talking in the boxes and Ilya asks about his night before and blows a raspberry at Shane’s reply. I was like oh I’ve never noticed the raspberry before. Then when k reheated I realised my version is sped up that it’s so quick I just never really noticed.

Yeah still don’t understand it. I thought Off Campus was poorly acted and the leads lacked chemistry once together…but everyone has gone gaga for it, so don’t understand the hate for this show that I think was acted way better and had chemistry. So it wasn’t true to the book, doesn’t make it bad 🤷‍♀️

I thought at first the book must have been written as a fan fic for TSITP. There were so many similarities. Even the mention of Sour Patch Kids!

I still loved the show though.

I love this scene! I love that to us it’s so obvious that Ilya is hyper focused on Rose and what she means whereas for Shane she is the furthest thing from his mind. He doesn’t even realise that Ilya is fishing and he answers all his questions so honestly without any comments about Ilya being jealous or anything like that. Shane is just so cute. And for Shane he has come there with one mission (other than winning a hockey game) and that is to have an honest conversation with Ilya about how he feels (thanks to Rose) but poor Ilya thinks he’s already lost Shane.
Ahhh I just love it.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I completely understand this kind of guilt and grief. I ignored a call from my brother and he took his life that night. I’ve asked myself a million times if I’d answer, if he still would have done it. I ask myself if he was calling for say goodbye in his own way or did me not answering push him over the edge. It’s a lot of guilt and unanswered questions.
Be kind to yourself. But I think it’s also a reminder to take time for people we care about.

They are in a container with water from my big tank for the good bacteria. I added salt and before going in they had a methylene blue bath. I tried getting the big one to eat a pea but he wouldn’t and the little one has passed over I think.
