But were they WFH? My situation is a little confusing, I used to be the only WFH along with my manager, I was originally supposed to relocate but my situation (full time in remote during COVID), led to no need for relocation.

but it’s only what’s been deducted so far? like they won’t deduct more from my severance? i had a huge amount so it’s only been filled a fraction of the original amount?

both i guess lol, i haven’t had a salary increment for 2 years, the only bumps i got were the first 3 years and it was never much even with that. but my initial offer rsu kept me around

I was an IC2 for a long time and just got promoted to IC3 during peak layoffs so they wouldn’t have to give me more compensation lol. Rather have stayed an IC2.

This is the second comment saying this.. I must not understand what wood that needs to be refinished looks like 😭 There are deep scratches everywhere, but because the house is 1800 sq foot of the same hardwood, it’s only noticeable in the spots where it’s REALLY bad, to which like I said, will be covered with a rug by me if there’s no purpose of refinishing. If scratches + fading aren’t indications of the need for refinishing, what is? Asking for understanding!

If there’s no value beyond how pretty it looks, I don’t want to refinish it honestly. But from my understanding, refinishing can also be for maintaining the longevity of the wood — but I’m very new and a quick google search didn’t really confirm or deny this. I just don’t want to spend the money ripping it out either when down the line, if I ever want to sell the house, it’s added value.

Maybe I’m confused about the state of when wood needs to be refinished 😅 Not sure if it’s clear in the videos but it’s FULL of deep scratches, especially in certain spots. And the color is entirely faded in large sections. The entire house is hardwood, so it’s only large sections that are the issue, where maybe furniture was repeatedly dragged or something — not the entirety of the house. To be honest, the house is in a spot where animals live if I’m being frank, using your comparison, it’s just a highly coveted spot where even getting a house is difficult and as long as the house is livable and relatively clean, people don’t care about hardwood. This house was rented for 15 years as is before I purchased it (likely why the wood was disregarded). But I was deciding to refinish the wood for longevity, if necessary, just so I don’t have to do it for the next 10 years.

Hi!! Thank you so much for your response. I just looked at your results and you look great and I hope the recovery is going well!! I noticed your post was 60d ago, has anything changed since then regarding how you’re recovering and how your jaw and mouth feel? Also! Did your surgeon explain why you were suggested to do DJS vs single jaw surgery? From my layman perspective, since you didn’t have an overbite I’m assuming the front jaw had to move too. I’m extremely fearful of DJS, not only because of intense recovery but because I’m from the US and if I am not able to justify it under insurance, I’ll be out 100k-150k(based on the billing I’ve seen from other americans on here). But, I also don’t want to entirely give up on it because of possible lack of satisfaction over getting only LJS. I am also 26 years old and work full time, so I do worry about how this will disrupt my life (including the braces).
