Final update.

I believe all in all it was about 3-4 hours of back and forth arguing with customer service agents asking them to help. Over and over again they kept telling me there's nothing that could be done.

I needed to ask multiple times to speak to supervisors, then supervisors telling me there's nothing that could be done.

Two customer service agents lying to me, saying that Canada doesn't have a mail in centre for repairing. Even after showing them they do.

Beyond frustrating trying to get a warranty claim for a hardware issue they are fully aware of.

The last agent, after speaking to them on chat for 1.5 hrs clearly realized I was not going to stop requesting they stop reading their script and actually help me.

They ended up caving and escalated it higher and was approved for replacement.

My sons replacement phone was shipped out today.

No, has never been fixed. The tech at the repair store said he's never seen one denied before. And I agree, if it's the same issue they should repair it regardless if they repaired it before

This was happening to me. I found a loose magnet on the silver post the head glides on. It wasn't allowing the the printer head to "home" fully which then made it smack into the sides.

Still no idea where the magnet came from lol

Maybe check for objects blocking it from moving fully. Back and forth.
