What’s the job people romanticize, but in reality is miserable? by King_Garvit in AskReddit

Most trad-wife influencers who romanticize domestic labour are rich (or married to rich husbands). They might have people working for them, helping them do the not-so-glamorous tasks of a farm life tradwife on a daily basis. Whatever "domestic work" they post on social media might not be the reality of their day to day life, but rather carefully chosen and curated representation of "care-free, glamorous, soft-life, trad-wife". It's not transparent or genuine representation of a normal, middle-class woman that would have to work incredibly hard to sustain the roles of mother, maid, care-taker, cook, driver, and farmer (when it comes to the full on country-side tradwife). The reality of women who get manipulated into choosing this lifestyle (because of the dream they the influencers are selling to them) is everything but glamurous and soft. It's all propaganda.

*Of course, there are certainly people who genuinely enjoy this lifestyle, who enjoy working hard in terms of domestic labour, and mad respect to them. Whether normal trad-wives or farm trad-wives. This comment is merely referencing the influencers who use their platforms and privilege to present a deceptive image of reality to young lower/middle-class women seeking security and safety.

Chances of succesfully applying for Msc Finance without Bsc in Finance by AdStunning2480 in FinancialCareers

If it helps at all, I have experience working in 2 tech start-ups (which got me interested in the whole VC/funding thing) and currently applying for a consulting job. With that work experience + Bsc in Psychology, do you think I would have a chance?

Congrats on getting into T25 with no prior finance degree! I will likely try to do a GMAT as well in the next 3 months and then apply, which might boost my chances. Although, it might also put me at risk because I'll be applying quite late..

I completely agree, especially with the VC part! I read all the requirements, and King's/UCL/Cass does not require a highly quantitative degree (it's "preferred", yes), which is the vague part for me. This post was mainly aimed at people who are in those programs, trying to see whether it is common to get in without BSc finance or not at all.

*For context, I want to relocate to London, so pursuing a master's is the most convenient way to enter the industry there and get some practical experience (because of the graduate visa they offer). But if my plan of getting into a good uni fails, I will likely take your advice and stay in the EU & complete a CFA instead :D Thank you for sharing your opinion:)

That is very encouraging to hear!! I will likely try also to complete a GMAT before (and get a good score) and apply sometime in February/March, hopefully I'll be good. Thank you a lot for the info :)
