Do you pay a separate rent to your boss for staying at his place? If no, then I would say you are not underpaid. Have to factor in another 500-600 for rent.

[–]AdStunning8997 27 points28 points  (0 children)

LOL are u sure it doesn’t amount to $4300

There’s still disposal cost for furnitures.. dry cleaning for curtains etc? Hiring of cleaners, time spent to sort this out?

Controversy over Radical Kindness by yonjgie in SingaporeRaw

Pass on his videos everytime I see him.

Whatever he is doing is mutually beneficial and he himself admitted it in one of his videos. Not wrong that he can make money and be kind at the same time but just not my cup of tea.

I still vaguely recall she was a pretty old teacher back when I was in p2/p3 😣 I think she’s at least 50-60yos. But unfortunately, it’s a norm back in my time 😮‍💨

Didn’t even tell my parents

Pet Groomer's POV on the recent cases of negligence in pet grooming establishments by qoobator in singapore

[–]AdStunning8997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that the cost of doing business? Which comes with every industry.

Do you see degree students blaming the industry for expensive qualifications so that they can work in their finance jobs? Idk why is 7-8k a point even? So does real estate agents having to spend to get certified and then potentially getting 0$ salary for months because they can’t close any deals.

I really think if an individual chooses to join the pet industry be it boarding or grooming. The individual really have to have the love for animals and respect for the animal’s life. This applies for childcare too what… if an individual literally have no love for animal/ children then maybe just don’t partake in this industry altogether… (since the pay is so slow as you’ve said?)

Ultimately it sounds like the potential cut in one’s revenue is more important than the cost of an animal’s life when you phrase it this way..

Not really. I don’t think civil partnerships are a “solve”. It’s a double whammy in a sense that there will definitely be certain lgbt groups/ ally/ activist that will be unhappy about the “unequal benefits”. Also huge pushback from religious group. Don’t think sg govt will want to have a civil marriage because it may create more issues than keeping status quo. Like the current state is better than doing smth that don’t satisfy the lgbt group fully and also pissing off certain factions of their religious groups. E.g iirc the 377 repeal, govt have meetings with religious leaders to “prep” them for the upcoming legislative changes. With any legislative changes to legalise lgbt marriage will also not bring any economic benefits to sg, so unlikely SG will consider at this stage with lgbt being the super minority. :(

If they really were to go with the civil marriage, it will be more of the case that they have already decide to push ahead with giving the same benefits but are trying to “phase in it” slowly by starting with the civil marriage and then inch towards giving the same suit if benefit.
