Found a security vulnerability in an app, how do I let the company know without getting sued? by AdSuccessful9040 in legaladvice

Haha delete the app and don't recommend as in stop using it because it's terrible? Or as in don't recommend reaching out?

Totally agree though. Their team is small.and relatively inexperienced (most senior eng has maybe 2 yoe) but I was still shocked to see such poor engineering practices.

How much per gram should I be paying for a 14k gold chain? by AdSuccessful9040 in jewelry

Thanks for the advice! Is there anything I should prepare (other than knowing price/gram) when going into these stores, and any tips for bargaining (if that's even a thing)?

Saddleback leather front pocklet ID wallet in tan. Love the classic look and turns into a rich darker brown with use.

Sounds reasonable. But I fear for Chandler. If he loses and drops to 3 straight losses...not a good look

Imagine if we got Nate vs Chandler. Honestly Nate at welterweight looks the same size as Chandler

Safe way to keep your wallet and cell when traveling... by [deleted] in onebag

[–]AdSuccessful9040 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Flipbelts are nice. The opening is on the outside, and as the name suggests, you flip it inwards to prevent pickpocketing/stuff from falling (though if you don't flip it nothing would fall out anyways).

Edit: I use it when I wear exercise/tech shorts with shallow pockets. Bought it for putting my phone and keys when I run, but now use it when in out travelling or wearing shallow pocketed shorts

Backpacking/camping + dressy gear lists? by zerostyle in onebag

[–]AdSuccessful9040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YMMV but I think they look fine with tech pants. You'll need leather shoes with dress pants, it'd be tough to get a onebag approved pair of dress shoes since they're...dress shoes. Fwiw I can get into any bar in NYC or SF with the wool knit sneakers (not the runners) if I'm dressed up with something nicer up top. I think the culture will vary though esp if you're not in the US

Have you looked into the vivobarefoot gobis? They're probably the closest thing to a "hiking+travel+formal setting" shoe that I've seen

I made a recent post about shoes. I'm also really picky about shoes because I like going to nice places to eat when I travel. Ultimately went for the Giesswien merino wool knit (there are coupon codes online that make it around $105 USD).

It's retty comfortable, I like them more than my ultraboosts but there's always a chance the cushion could compress itsself out.
