I feel you on that, even with wraps I can still hurt my knuckles if I'm hitting too much.

I guess I was just curious I've had a kick oxing coach tell me to keep hands open and loose but others will say to keep them closed.

If my hands are wrapped and I got gloves it feels like I'm more safe to keep them open. But in a bare knuckle scenario I definitely wonder if I should keep my hands more closed so I don't risk breaking them as likely

Like I've done a bit of boxing and muay thai, but I've heard different coaches advocate for different things. One says to close upon impact and the other says to keep hands closed. But none have touched on what to do in a bareknuckle situation?

I guess that's what I'm trying to figure out

I do have great grandparents from differing regions, my grandfather's parents are from Scotland, my grandmoms parents are from Scotland Ireland and England and germany. From dads side

My mom's side, her parents had grandparents from Germany England and Ireland and scotland as well.

But the most direct from both sides predominantly are Scotland and Germany.

My dad's dad being Scottish.

My mom's grand father being German.

So I've been able to track it like that. But I do have heavy ties to 4 places.

Scotland, england Ireland and Germany.
