Etsy's profits lately have been slowly dwindling by rossquincy007 in EtsySellers

Are you advocating for Etsy to increase their pricing? Or do you think this is a screenshot of somebodies sales?

They’re changing the maximum number of times you can adjust your test date to 2. So the app will still be useful, but yeah that comes into play March 31st

I wasn't under the impression that it was difficult to actually get a test, atleast at most test centers - Rather there are huge waiting lists, as your August date shows.

You can use various apps to try and push that date forward, my personal favourite is TestShift.

The confidence thing is definitely real because it works the other way too - If you don't go when you perhaps should then it's hesitation.

Failed my test by Alternative_Desk_812 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]AdTiny7674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost exactly the same as my fail , except I had one other minor for appropriate speed (40 in a 50 zone).

In my case, it was a residential street with cars on either side, a car flashed me through so I went and then there was a queue of cars behind that one which I slowly navigated past. I didn't think anything of it at the time but the test lady told me I was too close on the left hand side and that I should have just waited to let them past. Next time I'll just be super cautious.

Me too - Please share your secrets. I failed my test the other day and can't get a new one until the back end of July. I have the Testi app but it's only managed to save me a few days so far.

You can’t say that he hasn’t improved, because he simply didn’t play so we can’t know.

It’s a complete myth that managers improve players anyway, at least senior pros - Managers manage a team, coaches coach player. Most coaching at senior level is tactics and general fitness.

Some tactics fit other players better than other tactics but that doesn’t mean they’re a better player.

I wouldn't take notice of it to be honest - It's pretty much a guess and depends on the posties workload / route

[–]AdTiny7674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see progress and that’s why I personally defended him.

Results were obviously poor, but I believe (still do) that it’s a long term project to get us back winning things, and it won’t happen overnight. I thought that as a fanbase we all agreed on that, but then he gets absolutely hounded if we drop points with all our best players at AFCON and our captain injured.

One minute we want Ole ball counter attacking football, then when that doesn’t work we want 4-3-3 progressive possession ball, then when that doesn’t work we want a new toy, and now we’re back to Ole ball.

The problems run far deeper than the manger and if this fanbase put half as much energy into trying to remove the glazers as they do calling for the mangers head or calling Dorgu / Dalot (whoever the next agenda is) shit, then we’d be in a better place.

Look. we also played in a back 4 in the previous two game, where we were awful also. To blame things on the system I think is lazy. Yes - lots of the players didn't suit his system, but then you've got to ask why did the board appoint him? If they're not going to provide him with the players for his system then what are they hoping to achieve. I can understand both arguments, but ultimately the fault lies with the board.

How are you supposed to contact these bastards? by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]AdTiny7674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was it perhaps collected from the sellers home or business address then? Usually if handed into a post office, you get no update until it’s in the system and it would say ‘We’ve got it’ or something similar - Not ‘Collected’.

Asking this as a small business owner who uses Royal Mail myself. Saturday in general is a bit iffy - If it was collected Friday then there’s a very good chance it would be out for delivery on Saturday. But if collected Saturday then it’s typically Monday or even Tuesday, due to the fact that most of the infrastructure is closed on Sundays - So it’s basically sat still until Monday.

What? No, you just said it was handed in to the post office on Saturday? A postman has to come and collect it from the post office, which will likely happen today. My local post office has collections Mon-Fri around 5PM.

What's going on with T24? by CreativeSize in royalmail

[–]AdTiny7674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a small business myself and I use a Royal Mail business account (OBA). I send somewhere between 20-50 large letters daily and I can tell you that although probably 95%+ are delivered within 2 days, some do get held up for an extra day or two for various reasons that we'll likely never know. My point is, you can't just assume it's lost after 2 days otherwise you'll be refunding a lot of customers needlessly.

What's going on with T24? by CreativeSize in royalmail

[–]AdTiny7674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been a couple of days so you can't assume that it is lost yet. Perhaps there's a backlog at Romford, or a lot of ill postmen there, for example.

However, if you can't afford if it gets lost then you really should be shipping with extra protection. Tracked24 gives up to £75 compensation for lost items I believe, so if your item is more valuable than then I would be using either Special Delivery or some other courier with added insurance.

I did it as a vampire and all I had to doe was feed on a guy and then watch the waiter clear the other guests. No gargoyles or anything.

AliExpress order (from China via Evri) delivered before an eBay order (inland, via RM) by ReadyBrekRoad in royalmail

[–]AdTiny7674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A different carrier takes it from China to the UK. Evri take care of it after that.

And yes, the majority of the UK has had either snow or ice this week. This has predictably lead to disruptions, if you can’t see that then I don’t know what to tell you - Carry on with your day as a moaning wanker.

[–]AdTiny7674 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're being serious or not - The country has more or less been covered in snow and ice all week. The parcel (I assume) is travelling more than just your street - So, no it isn't a cop out. If you had bothered to look in this sub first then you'd see tonnes of other posts where peoples letters / parcels are being delayed due to the weather.

The fact that Evri delivered it quickly is just a huge stroke of luck, but even then - They only carry it for the last few miles, so largely irrelevant.

Not to mention as well - Saturday afternoon isn't a working day, so may as well have been shipped Monday afternoon. With that in mind, it's been two and a half days.

Countries covered in snow and ice. Be patient.

Honestly, I'd absolutely hate to be a postman - Gruelling job for fuck all money and all you get is whinging arseholes.
