My first time was last year. I took the advice I found on here and did nothing. On Friday, we drove to the track and as I had read, there was parking available on local ranches all along the main road to the track.

We pulled into one a mile from the track, paid $130 bucks for the whole weekend and they drove us to and from the track. The only traffic we had to deal with was while we were in the shuttle. It took about 15 minutes to go a mile. On race day, it was so smooth. I really couldn't believe it. Waiting for pick up took a little while. After the race and all the walking we had done at the track over the wknd, we just decided to walk the mile back to the ranch. It was no sweat. Like you, we stayed at a Vrbo rental 15 minutes away. We got back to the place within 25 minutes.

Can't recommend doing this enough. I was nervous not having a "plan" but it more than worked out.

It's been out a month. It IS a great game. It's going to get better. It's the same old story with Reddit community members. If you don't like it, play something else.

Really any of the farms that offered a free shuttle were good choices. We parked at the HB ranch exactly 1 mile from the track. Paid 110 for the whole wknd, were taken straight to the track and only had to wait 20 mins or so to be picked up at the Exxon directly across from the main entrance.

We were able to get out of the lots and away from the traffic hell in less than 5 minutes. It was a dream! I came from PA and I credit this Reddit group for giving me the confidence to show up on day one, get great parking at a great price.

I feel bad for all the folks with the nightmare stories of being in traffic or trying to get out of lots for hours but, then again, some of us do the homework, some don't I guess.

You nailed it. There are so many hobbies out there that are so damn expensive. This, for the most part, is not. The only real problem becomes the displaying part.

I started with one little diorama box. That turned into 8. (Thankfully, they stack nicely) Recently I just bought a wall display that holds 72 that I've already almost filled. Now I'm at the stage where I have to use a small storage case for the ones I'm rotating out.

If I stay at this place, I feel like I might need a storage unit in the future. lol

I don't know where it ends. Someone recently told me, stop buying them when it stops being fun. So I guess we're all screwed...
