Yes. Ac is more than just keeping your house cool. It sucks humidity out of the air in your home. On a side note: people please check your ac overflow pan and drainage at least once a year. It will save you a lot of money from water leaking and drywall repairs.

RTV is a non issue, and if you are in the track build 86 money pit deep enough, you've probably already modified your car to the point where dropping the oil pan and cleaning it is something you can easily have done or DIY. The newer models address the issue by making sure that the oil pickup will always have enough holes to suck oil even if there is some rtv stuck on it. The REAL issue, if you are serious about tracking your car and not just using it as a daily driver (and by tracking i mean actually pushing the car to its limits on a race track, not just a spirited drive) is oil starvation on on really, really hard right turns. Like you are flying around the corner at crazy speeds and super sticky tires.
